LOL that's NOT what I thought of when I read "afternoon lovin." And here I thought you were getting your groove on

Sting circa 1988 -- I saw him twice that year, once in Canada and once in Spain. Both concerts were outstanding. Runner up would be Chris De Burg any of the 3 times I've seen him. I'm no longer a fan but man that guy put on a show!

makes you wonder if we're really meant to digest the stuff at all. Gelato is quite tasty.

Congratulations!!!

91... which frankly I find hard to believe but I'll take it. Man will I take it!

depends on if I have company over or not. With friends, beer. By myself, ice cream.

When I was a vegetarian, many many moons ago, I would put bulgur in my chili and spaghetti sauce to get the texture of ground beef. I also made shepphard's/cottage pie with lentils instead of beef or lamb. Invest in a good slow cooker so you can cook your own beans/legumes. It's not that much cheaper than canned but much…

I don't count tidying. I count cleaning if I break a sweat. It works for me (that is I'm still losing). It doesn't work for everyone.

red peppers are bad for me.

Maybe he just wishes he could spend more time with you? Or he's feeling that he's being left to carry the load when you're gone from home for so long? Is there a way you can bring your son (I'm guessing boy from the photo) with you so that he goes to the gym daycare and instead of time away from you you're hubby could…

I try to view it like getting older... it kind of sucks but it sure beats the alternative ;)

Great job!

I started at 330. By the time I'd reached 270 I had obviously lost weight and started having clothes that were too big for me. I'd say it was pretty much noticeable by the time I'd lost 40-50lbs but you can look through my Facebook page's progress pics (a pic every 10lbs) to judge for yourself. I think if you start lower…

oh and look at the bright side.. you'll save a TON of money because almost all fast food has wheat in it (most FFood chains coat their fries in flour to make them crispier so you can't even have the fries most places). And be careful for spice mixes. Learned that one the hard way :(

I had some good success with Make It Fast, Cook It Slow cookbook. Also the blog "A Year of Slow Cooking" is gluten free (same woman). There are some products that aren't too bad and some that bite the big one. Once you figure out which products are o.k. and which to avoid you'll have an easier time planning meals. HUGS.

Some premade lunches are better than others. The Lunchables I'd avoid but Lean Cuisines or Healthy Choice type things aren't so bad. A better option is to double up on what you make for supper and pack half of it for lunch the next day.

I'm pretty boring on my snacks and usually have the same thing. Morning snack is fruit (usually banana or apple), afternoon snack is a handful of almonds and half an apple, nighttime snack is popcorn and cabbage or cauliflower.

so long as your parents and family doctor are on board I see no issue with it.

I certainly think that they are capable. I'm not quite sure about "meant to".. meant to by whom? Are you asking if we have a genetic predisposition to stray? Are you asking if religious justifications are still applicable?

I would also add that you don't have to set your limit at 2lbs per week. Honestly, I eat pretty clean and it's not enough for me. I set it to 1.5lbs and while it may take a bit longer, there's a much better chance of my getting there and being a happy person along the way.

Miss Vickie's Lime and Black Pepper Kettle Chips. Chips are the devil. I'm not very good around Salty Pepper Somersaults either :(

I really enjoy Jane Brody's gingerbread pancakes. I posted the recipe on my food blog (link is in my profile). The original recipe calls for 1 cup whole wheat flour but I used half and half. I also have lemon ricotta pancake recipe on the blog which is fantastic but it uses only white flour.

I started out at 330. I had to lose about 50lbs before I went down a size and even then it was from a 5X to a 4X. I had to lose 40 more pounds to go from a 4X to a 3X/24 on bottom and a 2X/22 on top. Some 24s are comfortable, some are loose. If you're 24 years old and following the calories set by MFP and watching your…

Congratulations! looks like you're taking all the right first steps :)

Now THAT is the kind of success worth shouting about! Congratulations!

I think you need a spark from the beginning. With time you get the fire but if there's no spark from the get go... you've entered the "friend zone."

Doesn't work for everyone, certainly would never work for me and my husband, but I'm not going to judge people for whom it does work because that's really up to them. For me personally, the only people who are ever seeing me naked again are my husband and medical professionals. As for him, it's not worth it because he…

same reason here. I do hope to eventually get out of overweight and into normal (the very top of normal is about the best I figure I could hope for), but I plan on doing that much more slowly so I have plenty of time to get used to it.

You're not alone. I'm happily married now, but I could have written the same post 12 years ago. Good luck!
