I have a link to my food blog on my profile. You're also welcome to check out my diary. I do tend to repeat the same things for lunch but my hubby takes whatever we had for dinner the night before as his lunch most days.

being accountable to my friends. I have a FB fan page where I post my successes and failures and I HATE having to post a gain so I keep working. It helps that at least half of these people are actual real friends of mine (as in not just MFPers who while great, are not people who are part of my whole life) so that I know…

It takes a male bodybuilder 1 month of intense work to build 1lb of muscle. More likely, the muscles are retaining water from the exercise. Just an FYI (I didn't know before either).

likely culprits: 1. Hormones (TOM/AF may cause water retention) 2. Too Much Sodium (retains water) 3. Muscle Building (no you didn't gain 1.6lbs of muscle in one day but when you're building muscles they tend to retain water) 4. Heat (can cause some people to retain water) Detect a theme? Drink more water. It'll help.

1 Tbsp of pure maple syrup. YUM!

I plan my main meals for a week when I do my grocery shopping list on Mondays. Then every morning I plan my days for food. I only add exercise when it's been done though. I also add water throughout the day as I drink it.

See a nutritionist. People think nothing of hiring personal trainers at the gym but rarely consider going to a professional nutritionist. I don't understand why since weight loss is determined far more by what you eat than by your activity level (and yes you need to do both and yes you need to weight train to replace lost…

I prefer unicorn mist myself... ;)

coffee (though to be honest I haven't given up anything)

at 330 I was a C. I'm now 240 and a B.

Reducing my meds. Fitting in a booth at a restaurant. The second one is still a novelty and I still worry every time right before sliding right in.

Congrats! You look fantastic!

I'm in Markham but was born in Ottawa. :)

From what I understand it'll take your body a few weeks to readjust. I would consider going on maintenance mode for a week or two and then starting fresh. I did that with my last plateau and it worked very well to get things restarted. GL

It makes me think of ruggedness and traditional values, of men who are built and strong and brave the elements. Of honour and pride and Scottish burrs. And nakedness.

hit the 100lbs lost mark. I'd like to hit it before my 1 year mark (October 18th) but I don't tend to do well with deadlines so I'm just trying to act cool about it for now.

congratulations! you look gorgeous!

http://jaabeemom.blogspot.com/2010/03/notebook.html I confess I get a little (ok VERY) neurotic about groceries. My list is made to reflect the layout of the store and then when I put things on the conveyor belt it's grouped together for easy packing (fruits/veggies, cold stuff, cans and boxes). I insist on packing my own…

Given your age, the amount of weight you have to lose, the fact that you've had children and that you had abdominal surgery I'd say that there is a good chance though it's not 100% certain. Slow weight loss and lots of muscle toning and sculpting will help. Also it may take a year after your weight loss before your skin…

call the stylist and ask them about sweat. Other than that, enjoy (moderately) and don't sweat going over one night. There will be other nights you don't get it perfect. Trick is to be good most of the time.

I do freeweights while I watch TV at night at least 3 times a week. You can use cans of beans or jugs of milk if you don't have weights. Sticking to cardio only will only get you so far. Don't forget about muscle building! (you will lose muscle wether you want to or not, weight training is essential in replacing that lost…

I had always been a C, even when nursing my babies but this time time the weight came off there and I'm down to a B. With the right bra I still look like I have a fabulous rack so I'm not overly concerned. I don't like all the extra skin though. If I consider anything, it'll be to get them lifted. My friend has implants…

I think you might be limiting your fats too much. Add a pat of butter to your steamed veggies and have some almonds or seeds for snack tonight. If you could throw in a salad with some olive oil with your supper that would help too. Fats won't hurt you if you're eating the right kinds. Also curious as to why you aren't…

There are a lot of reasons people might have difficulty incorporating fresh foods into their diaries. For some it's an issue of availability, some a financial issue and for others a question of time crunch and/or preparation. Rather than criticizing, perhaps you can try to offer up some suggestions as to how to achieve a…

feel free to add me.. but read my profile first to make sure I'm the kind of friend you're looking for :) Either way Good Luck!

You're aiming for the lowest possible calorie intake and you're not eating back your exercise calories. You are starving yourself. Your lack of appetite is related to this severe reduction of nutrients, energy and vitamins. Your body is likely shutting down. I could be wrong of course. I am not a doctor nor a certified…

1) your trainer is an asshat and you can do it by yourself. Sure trainers are helpful, but they are not necessary. 2) you can't expect other people to hold your hand through this. Your friend had good intentions but she's fallen. It happens. It's happened to all of us and while it's frustrating, making her feel worse won't…

Taking a week and a half off (not just exercise but also dieting) helped me break my plateau and helped me realize that I've got the tools to maintain my weight once I get to where I need to be.
