  • It took me awhile to cut back portions and get my calories down to the number on my profile. Just have to make up your mind. For me it is mostly about portions. I make healthy choices .. but just eat too much. Secondly - I found drinking water before eating helps me cut back
  • Well done -- that's a big step ! Amazing what the mind can do when you focus on what's important and not lapse into the old habits
  • Yup -- see the same. I think a small part is physical and about how the body changes More of it is will power and my mind set. When I finally get my head around the fact that the focus is controlling calorie in take to meet my goal .... not gain weight and lose right now
  • It helps me as well. The first thing in the a.m. is a glass of water. Before & after exercise and with every meal. Also, if I get hungry & start looking for a snack -- take a glass of water first. Then if still hungry, get something to eat. It is also important (obviously) to replenish muscles after workouts
  • Always over This is where calorie counter helps me. Not a junk eater or soda drinker, so I thought all was ok. I was really surprised at how much sugar I get from fruit from dairy - cottage cheese, etc.
  • That's cool! I'm a former runner with no cartilage left .. so a walker now. I remember breaking thru some of those milestones. Great feeling Congrats
