Great job Stephanie! And terrific challenge. I certainly need to get more fruits and veggies in. :)

I think you need to get more fruits, veggies, and yes, as mentioned, protein in your diet. Also, maybe a more balanced breakfast and dinner..... Try focusing on including more for now not excluding, until you build a habit of eating healthful foods, and you may find that you don't really need all that fried stuff ;).

It took me about 7 months to lose 15 pounds. Started on this health journey back in July with incorporating more exercise. Then in the fall joined mfp to start tracking my nutrition which I have to say, is by far the hardest obstacle, food. I focus on 10 pounds at a time, and have 30 more to go until I reach my goal.…

Did you check the ingredients? It's probably extremely high due to the natural sugars in the raisins. Regardless, commercial cereals are loaded with added sugar. I rarely eat cereal for breakfast. I do love granola so I make it myself, that way I know exactly what goes in it and it's oh so yummy with yogurt and fruit.…

Great Challenge! I sure need it :)

Great job ladies!!!! LW:161.8 CW:161.8 Phew, didn't gain which I thought I did. Been a crazy week. Good luck everyone!

I walk home from work a couple of days a week rain or shine and it's a great stress reliever. I do prefer a bit more intensity i.e. jogging/running which I do on my actual workout days with my trainer. I would suggest walking at a medium pace to start off and then building up to a brisk pace. You wanna break a sweat :).…

Forgot to add! You can also substitute cocoa powder in place of the 1 cup or so of the chocolate chips. Good luck!

I'd cut the sugar down or find another alternative. What is the purpose of the sugar? For texture or just for sweetness? Try using maple syrup or stevia. Go with fewer crackers and maybe substitute whole grain varieties instead. You can certainly find whole grain graham crackers and saltines. Also, you can probably cut the…

When looking at the food, just pick a little bit of everything to try (I love food so I probably couldn't resist!) but keep your portions small and say, okay that's all I'll have of this. That way, you can have a little bit of everything and not go overboard. Also, load up on veggies. Keep your alcohol consumption low and…

That's okay! Don't feel bad at all. Look at how far you've come though, so keep at it!

I personally prefer matcha green tea. I like the taste better and I find it gives me this energy boost that I don't get from regular green tea. It's all trial and error. Start with the simple and see how you like it, then go from there.

I use the Vega shakes and energy bars. I've tried a few until I settled with this one, mainly due to the ingredients. I would suggest you give them a try. They have sample packets so if your local health food store gives out samples, see if you can get some of these (that's how I discovered them).

Great Job Savvystephy & jlbay!!! LW: 162.6 CW: 161.8 Good luck everyone!

Try adding some spices, and some garlic, ginger and it makes a huge difference. I also like veggies lightly steamed with lemon and salt and pepper. But then again, I'm pretty low maintenance!

I think that as long as you are challenging your body, and 'excercising' you should see results within time. Be realistic, you're not going to drop a ton of weight right away, but try and not feel discouraged by this. I work out with a trainer and I've only lost 10 pounds in 3 months. Was I expecting more? Not at all. I…
-
You may not be 'excercising' but I can guarantee that you're still pretty active, unless you're sitting on the couch all day. I'm always running around doing things at work, etc. On my non exercise days, I may not be ''working out'' but I'm still expending energy throughout the day. And that calls for food! So really, if…

Why are you not eating? Stress? Find out the reasons why.... And with the food, try and have smaller meals throughout the day then, but make sure to eat something that offers some decent nutrition :). Fruit, veggies, whole grains. Even if you're eating less, at least you'll have some nutrients as oppose to sugar and fat…

I've been logging everything and I certainly don't like some of things I'm seeing! A couple of days there with all the work stress and I was eating crap. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day :)

Awesome job everyone! And congrats sjmay! Great challenge too!

Calorie counting has so many variables that I wouldn't focus so much on the 'numbers'. It's not 100% accurate. Go by how your clothes fit after a couple of weeks or so. If you find they are getting more loose, then you are losing. If you find they keep getting tighter, then adjust your eating and exercise habits. I'm never…

Don't beat yourself up for it! It happened, nothing you can do except learn from your mistakes. Don't make the same choices next week! I'm opposite on the weekends. I find I eat better and I'm also relaxed, so I don't have any stress. How about plan out your weekends? Try and do things that don't involve going out and…

It was the holidays, and now that it is over, you can start fresh. As savvystephy said, keep tracking your food! Also, don't lose sight of your goals. :)

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but I'm not a huge meat eater either. As someone mentioned, your best bet would be beans and there are so many varieties to choose from with tons of different recipes. From dips, to spreads, to making burger patties. I really suggest you do your research, there are tons of books out there.…

Stay away from anything deep fried and loaded with sauce, cheese, sour cream. Eat half your meal, bag the rest home for lunch/dinner the next day. :)

Congrats Blondie!!! You go girl!! My CW: 162.9

I use the Vega brand and I mix it in with my smoothies. Can barely taste it. Throw in a frozen banana and it's like ice cream :)

Well, I totally blew the challenge. Had some chocolate at work and the rest of that damn rocky road fudge bar. Oh well, I had a good eating week but yesterday and today wasn't very good. But you know, I'm not going to feel bad because it tasted so yummy lol, and I'll just be good for the rest of the week. Plus, it was due…

I'm sorry to hear that sjmay :(. But seeing as how much you cared for him, he was very lucky to have you :). Remember the good times :)
