@msarobix sorry to hear you had pain in your lung. Sounds like you're taking it easy, just running a little. I hope your back to normal very soon. I know your love the workouts. It seems like as I've gotten older, I have more and more aches & pains. The pollen has been so bad this year, I scratched my eye it itched so bad…

@loonyhiker yeah!

@loonyhiker have a great trip, your plan sounds great. My plan (or lack of) left me with little results for February. @kimmie373 Congrats on the increase in activity. Eating is 80% vs 20% exercise, you're on the right track now. My February results (or lack of) was all due to planning. I've got lots of excuses, hurt my…

@loonyhiker Congrats on the loss! Got to love the change up, it seems to work all the time.

@tiff0277 I have a Fitbit Blaze that I have had a long time (several years). It works well and has lasted several years. I have it set to sync with MFP although I don't understand the calorie adjustment. I also have a Polar Fit4 that I have had for even longer since 2012ish. The Polar has a chest strap and does a better…

@fitness327wk Great loss! What a week.

@keriA Happy early birthday. I was considering an apple watch too, got to look at the costs. I cant imagine dealing with snow. You definitely have challenges with the weather. In FLA we've had a mild winter, only 2 hard freezes, the flowers and trees are blooming already (read pollen) and allergies are bad already. The…

So it's been a week since I hurt my back, and I think I was very lucky. Not too much lingering pain, just some stiffness. I've been able to walk on treadmill all week but have definitely been taking it easy. I am taking it slow and want to add some stretching before I try the NROL4Abs again. It was a wake up call, back…

Had a bad start on the NROL4Abs routine during the warm up, heard a pop in my back, then excruciating pain. Took a hot shower then the heated seat on the way to work. Took ibuprofen 2x yesterday. Better today, but not going back to the program for a couple of days. Not a good way to start the month. I was hoping to change…

Thanks for the rainbow! It was grey all day in FLA. I think the sun peaked out for 10 minutes. My goals for February are to change up the exercise; adding NROL4Abs - working that program 3x per week, in addition to walking the other 3x. I did the NROL4W a couple of years ago, didn't finish after I had surgery. I have some…

@Fitness327wk Great loss! I had a slow start to Jan too. My scale wouldn't move, I even changed the battery. @ kimmie373 Regular exercise is a great start, and your enjoying the watch challenge. Sounds like you are maintaining, so you're getting an idea of your daily burn. Next step calorie deficit and you're on your way.…

Good job on your 1" waist loss! And during a Florida vacation. Travel always messes up my routine. NSV are still victories. I am going to try a bullet journal too. Putting to writing will keep me from forgetting something. I have postmenopausal brain fog alot.

Thanks! There's no hope for the treadmill. It was a craigslist find. The incline is messed up, it records a -5 degree so it thinks I walking down hill lol. I have a polar fit chest strap & fitbit blaze so I get good burn numbers. But ultimately all the devices that track burn are a big "estimate". I try not to get into the…

Here's the results from January. Weight loss 3.7#, inches (the big 3) 4.8" loss. Average daily burn 1775, ave daily cal eaten 1425, which is a 20% calorie deficit - spot on my goal. I am surprised how close I got to that goal. I changed things up a bit the 3rd week of January and added intervals to my walking and moved…

Tomorrow is weigh in day and measurements and pics, end of the month. My clothes have been fitting differently, but the waistline is still snug. I am going to update my spreadsheet with the results and try to spot some trends then come up with my goals for February. I included some intervals and increased the intensity on…

So sorry about your mom, it's hard when your so far away. Find a distraction, good job on getting your exercise in, try reading or start a project (I need to get working on my taxes). Good luck and prayers for your mom.

Hi @tiff0277 , I had surgery 18 months ago, prior to I was lifting heavy doing NROL4W. I still haven't gone back to lifting, but getting back to MFP logging and doing some intervals walk/run. my goal is to lose about 15-20 more lbs then I'll add back the heavy weights for body recomp. And then there's the mother of the…

@msarobix thanks for the reply. I am going to increase my calories with a protein snack and see how things go.

So I’ve been complaining about the scale not moving the last ~3 weeks (I’ve been tracking “this time” since Thanksgiving 7 weeks), I took a look at my spreadsheet and came up with this: My ave daily eaten calories has been 1360+-, my ave cal burn (per Fitbit blaze) is 1745 that’s ave deficit of 386. My weight loss is 8.5#…

Happy Friday. So finally after 3 weeks with no weight loss, -0.60 lbs. I am going to update my spreadsheet and see what the difference might have been. I did stop my daily protein smoothie and change up my walking with a "running" interval, going to check the eat/burn. I am off Monday so long weekend I am hoping to get out…

I was an analyst too! I don't miss audits or year end at all. Good luck @msarobix.

Oh, my that sounds so familiar. I have not lost weight in 10 days. I think my problem is sloppy measuring. I am going to weigh food portions and see if I can get back on track. I am not sure if it plateau, It's only been since Thanksgiving, I am not sure if my body "adapted" to the new lower calories. I am also going to…

Happy Birthday to you! You're inspiring,I would take a cheat day

Good job! I am not a runner, too much weight on the knees. Does Zwift control the treadmill incline & speed? Is Zwift on your watch?
-
Oh no, nothing sets me back like a cold! No energy for anything. Try to get plenty of rest and water. I used to take that EmergenC powder, it is loaded with sugar! I would mindlessly drink one daily, until I read the label. Hope you and your husband feel better soon.

Enjoy yourself!

Maybe rowing? I used to have a rowing machine, I don't remember the foot placement.

I have the same frustrations. I am looking to change my bad habits for good. I am trying to make changes in the kitchen, starting with healthy recipes and make ahead meals. Shopping is a problem too, I am doing better reading labels and finding brands and products that will meet the healthy requirements that are also…

City water is dreadful, especially along the coasts. Try grocery store brand gallon drinking water or spring water moderately priced, and you can fill a souvenir water bottle lol.

I stop at 3PM, so I get started right after my morning walk, otherwise I am up all night too. I drink water with all my meals too.
