I think it's useful and good for the body (keeps your muscles loose, stretched, etc) and also good for your MOOD But, I woudn't log it and eat back any calories from it.

I like raw nuts if I'm eating them with cheese. I pair a nut w/ each nibble of cheese. I like salty or dry roasted if I am just eating them plain. and I *love* Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds with Sea Salt and Turbinado Sugar!

I drink those types of drinks every so often. In moderation, anything is okay. :) Have you tried fruit in water? EVen a few strawberry slices, orange slices, peach slices, lemon, lime, etc give the water the essense of the fruit without adding any calories or artificial flavorings :-)

Well, the word "natural" doesn't mean much legally. Nor does "healthy" really. But, things that ARE healthy don't necessarily mean low-calorie or low-fat. But, they're way better for you than some processed 100-calorie snack pack.

I go through the same periods where for a month or two, I'll gain and lose the same 2 pounds over and over again. So, I don't have a real answer for you... Have you tried lower carb v. higher carb, etc? Also, I j ust browsed a week or two of your diaries and I to notice you do "quick calorie" adds a lot and conveniently…

I have PCOS. It does make weight loss harder... Did your doctors offer metformin, perhaps? That helps with insulin resistance, which helps with weight loss. The other big thing that helps with insulin resistance is...EXERCISE. You should also eat low glycemic foods, meaning a lower carb diet. Try staying under 100g of…

If you ate all those fried foods and what not, then it's gotta be mostly water weight. Those foods have a lot of salt and stuff, which makes them taste so yummy. Do not give up! Drink a lot of water, do an extra hard core workout and try to do some cardio every day this week. Don't stress!

Can you move it down just a bit? So that the girls don't touch it, but it's still within reach to measure heart?

First, congratulations on starting the first step in a long journey to being healthy and loving yourself! I didn't have quite as much weight to lose (closer to 100 lbs), but honestly when I first started I was only in a place to tackle one thing at a time. I started by tacklign food, since 80% of weight loss is about diet.…

I haev a camelbak - the smallest one I found. It has a pocket for keys/walls and it carries a decent amount of water. It doesn't slide around or anything either.

I hardly eat any carbs and eat tons of protein and I generally stay under 1200 calories a day. It can be done :) Choose low calorie proteins, like chicken, fish, etc. Eggs and other protein for breakfast. Remember, protein and fat fills you up WAY more, so you don't need to eat as much either! I even eat bacon and what not…

I am on the extended release and haven't had any issues. Recently my doc bumped my dose up from 500 to 1000mg and for about a week, I noticed a very slight difference in how it affected my tummy, but it was slight and it went away after a few days. I agree with the others - you gotta eat lower carb and higher protein/fat…

I love Trader Joe's! and, I find that things are as cheap, if not cheaper, than my grocery store. I go there for specific items...I like many of their prepared meats for lunches for work. I love their cheeses, as they are WAY more affordable than the grocery store. Their pre-cut veggies are also a bargain, though I don't…

Good idea. And, good to see it does it to a guy too. I thought maybe it was just a boob thing...

Well, it can't really move up anymore b/c I have breasts - so, the strap basically runs right underneat my the elastic band of my bra. I suppose I can try tightening it and seeing if that helps, though it's somewhat snug. The bandaid idea is a good one. It'll at least protect the area! Or I thought about wrapping gauze…

It HURTS too. And once it was so bad (b/c I ended up wearing the HRM for like 3 hours) that I had this scab for a week!

I have a pinup girl on my arm. It means....I like girls? LOL

And, you don't have to give it up! Like you said, moderation. And, make smart choices. I tend to avoid stuff with lots of sugary fillers (like mudslides) and go right for the high-alcohol content drinks (like old fashioneds). Packs a bigger punch with fewer non-alcohol calories :) THat would be hard. But, I find that after…

Yeah, where ARE all the gay boys????

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a "getting my studliness back" goal :)

I've regretted a few things I've done while drunk...eating may be the least of them :) But, yes, drinking gives me the munchies. Which is why I hardly drink anymore. Recently I did drink a lot at a party, though, and I barely ate a thing! So, that was a big accomplishment :)

Wait, Bud Light is beer??? <G> I'm a bit of a beer snob, I suppose. So, my beers tend to be like 8-10% in alcohol content and thus many more calories. So, I just rarely drink them. I'd say once a month now, I'll engage in drinking. The rest of the time, I skip it.

What is his chest measurement?

And, I have you beat! SW: 266 CW: 213 GW: 175 But, I don't know if that's my final goal weight. I guess I'm going for a look and feel, more than a number on the scale. I haven't been 175 in so many decades (ha!) that I don't even know what it looks like. I was 195 about 10 years ago, and really liked how I looked/felt…

YES! And I was one of those grumps who hated exercise. Seriosuly, I'd go on and on about it with my bff, telling her how I didn't understand how anyone could love exercise, b/c it's so arbitrary and fake and miserable. And now I'd NEVER understand how anyone could like it, or feel a "high" from it, etc. And, for the first…

The reality is that MOST of us who are significantly overweight hated exercise and hated any sort of physical discomfort whatsoever. Many of us just had to get to a point where the physical discomfort of being fat outweighed the potential physical discomfort of exercising and dieting, LOL. What I did initially was just…
