  • It is awful what our monthly visitor can do to us. I know this time last week, I just about had a fit because my husband did not buy me a donut at the store. I mean I really got angry, over a dang donut! I agree without MFP and daily logging which is so easy here, that I wouldn't be so accountable for what I put in my…
  • Me! I have had lots of luck with Leslie's videos. I started in July using them when it was too hot to walk outside. Now they are one of my primary sources of exercise. I just recently bought the Complete 5 mile walk and have done it numerous times. In an hour, I can burn about 400-500 calories (per my HRM). I have lost a…
  • One of my biggest surprises is how much I like having my picture taken again. I guess I never noticed how much I hid from the camera until looking through photos of my kids and we have lots of pics with kids and daddy but very few with mommy. Now...I'm like "Take our picture!" So happy that I'll have those memories in…
  • It is an awesome feeling! I still feel so different when my husband hugs me these days because it feels like we are closer. Weird but true.
  • POW BANG!! Great job, you look awesome!
  • I've been sick as well for about a week. I just finally walked last night but I only did a mile. I have had this awful respiratory crud which has made my head and body ache, so I decided to just rest. I was hoping to only be out for a couple days, but it has been a whole week of not exercising. I'd say it's a pretty…
  • Sweet potatoes! I want to eat them everyday.
  • Thanks for the feeback. I'm not a gym goer so now worries about the spread of my germs. I'm pretty serious about staying home when the family is sick. My kids can attest to that, they will never get the perfect attendance award at school!
  • I like the chicken with roma tomotoes and zucchini. You get a small (very small) side of roasted red potatoes. I could easily not eat those and ask for more zucchini. Also any of the under 550 meals with steak at applebees is usually pretty good, they do a nice steak.
  • WOW you look FAB! I'm the same height, and we started the same. I'm at 180 now, but I don't think I look nearly as good as you. Way too chicken to try on a cute little outfit like you had on. You go girl!!
  • You may want to try the eating more way to see if that helps. I looked at your exercise diary and you are very active! KUDOS to you. I think your body may be saying, feed me more, or I'll just hold on to what you do feed me. I really dread the day that your reality becomes mine because I know I will have to tweak what I am…

  • YAY! for you. I have two coats that I couldn't previously wear that I am able to wear now. One I never even took the tags off because it didn't fit. I live in the midwest and while we don't have any snow right now, I can't wait to buy some snow pants and play in the snow with my family. It's been years since I felt…
  • Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your story and your boldness in sharing pictures. Seeing the real life, this is what I lost and this is how I look pictures are so so so key to my continuation of this process. You look amazing!
  • Plan. If you know ahead of time you will be eating out, I find it best to plan. Look online for the nutritional information and see what will fit with what you have available for the day. Or if it won't fit, you can plan an extra workout. There have been on the spur of the moment kinda times, when I will look that up on my…
  • LOVE your attitude!! Great work, thanks for posting
  • Great thread. I'm a junk in the trunk kinda girl too. In fact, I have on a size 14 pants today but if I didn't have the butt and high thighs I have, I'm sure I could wear a 12, because there is a nice chunk of baginess in my waist. I'll admit it gets to me sometimes that I have lost all this weight but my legs still look…
  • That's awesome! My husbad tried a 30 day shred session with me once. He didn't make it very far. Made me feel pretty good because I was pretty heavy at the time and here he was skinny and couldn't get through it.
  • Interesting to hear others still doing the oldies! I have the oldies as well and love them. I need to find the advanced but doing the basic is a great workout, just not quite long enough. Gotta love the bright color of his workout gear!!!
  • My answer is only what works for me and isn't based on any science or anything. I have been steadily losing weight for 6.5 months by staying under the guidelines MFP tells me based on my weight and being sedentary. I'm not sedentary by any means, in fact I normally work out about an hour 6 days a week either running,…
  • I'll just echo some other things already said. 1. Log it, no matter what it is , one hersey kiss, log the thing in! 2. Make small goals in addition to your big ones. Write them down, put them on the fridge, the bathroom mirror wherever you can be reminded you made a goal. 3. Remember it's a process, it won't happen…
  • Great job. Thanks for posting pics and you story, I love to hear them! You and I have the same start weight and goal weight and height. In fact, our bodies look a lot the same, I'm currently 183 and in size 14s as well and it feel fantastic. I haven't tried on a dress yet because I still feel big, you know how that feels.…
  • Wonderful story, congratulations on your journey.
  • Great job!
  • Congratulations! You look great. I appreciate you having the courage to post pictures because they are such a source of motivation for me.
  • I do all my workouts at home. I have an elliptical, some barbells, and a nice variety of dvds, including tae bo, walk away the pounds, and biggest loser. You may want to pick up a Walk away the pounds dvd. I have one with 5 miles on it that is broken into 5 one mile segments. Each mile is about 12 minutes. If you could fit…
  • Curious what size kettleball you use? I want to buy one but I am at a loss for what size I should start out with. I do some strength training already with 8lb weights.
  • Desk job here too. I try to get up every hour and take a walk down the hall. Also, when I heat up my lunch or breakfast, I move around while waiting. Side steps, some lunges, or squats if no one is around!!! LOL Before winter hit, I walked on my lunch half hour.
