ok, So I should eat my TDEE I input and ignore the calories posted, unless I burn WAY more than normal (like Saturday when I do this 40 flight climb), then eat more.

Wait, if you don't enter your daily exercise, when do you know you've gone over your targeted deficit? For instance, I have my TDEE set and the difference from -15% (1897) and my BMR (1623), which is an exercise burn daily of 274 calories, so if I burn more than 274 calories in exercise a day, wouldn't I need to know that…

I just read through the articles and there is mention, a few times, of weight gain being a high probability in the first few weeks of doing this as your body resets to normalcy from the deficit it has been living in. I wouldn't worry too much about 3 pounds, especially after a nice spa weekend :)

I have absolutely no idea if I figured this correctly. I used "Moderate activity" and got a TDEE of 2231 (15% deficit to 1897). My BMR is 1623. I lost 30 pounds in 3 months JUST by not drinking soda. Diet is just as bad for you as regular. Once I threw in working out 3 times a week for 45 minutes I dropped almost 50 pounds. I would highly recommend cutting way back on the soda, whether it be diet or regular.

HI! Welcome aboard! I am starting to track again as well. I have about 50 pounds to lose. I lost 40 a couple years back and have gained 18 of that back. I am determined to not gain any more! I am MORE determined to lose what I need to!

I use MFP App. It has a whole bunch of restaurants already loaded and is easier to use now with the update. You can also ask your waitress for a nutritional guide (most places have them on hand), then just mark what you had for update later.

I asked my doctor about these "blockers" and he said they set your system up so you can't process it... it just passes through, and sometimes uncontrollably.... Beware....
