Hi, I guess it seems fine but I have it set to 2lbs a week. I just feel that after like 5 days I e either gone up in the scale or not budged most weeks. Yes I have dropped 6 lbs but it should surely be more consistent? Do my stats sound right and also my calories cause I'm also concerned ill plateu fast if I eat to…

Hi, depends on your current weight tbh. But bare in mind that you can't specifically lose an inch of fat from anywhere. It will come off certain places quicker than other which is different for everyone. Your doing everything right I would say just keep at it. Try and do some hiit instead of steady state cardio as this…

Hey, no i didn't me it up. I said it was unlikely. Purely based on my own experiences that I often gain a couple but 5 was rather a lot for me. Didn't realise you could gain that much but that's why I'm on here asking the question. I know I have a problem weighing myself constantly and I will do my best to break the habit…

Hmm okay well I guess I will just check on it in a couple of days. The weekend are my rest days so hopefully some water etc will flush itself out. Thanks for the help
-
Hey, yeah I do get that it just seems 5 lbs is a hell of a lot. I understand the odd lb or 2 but yeah 5 seems alot. When you tear your muscles down I read that can cause water retention but again unlikely to be 5lb of it
-
HI sorry it's a typo. I weighed 16.3 not 15.3. I've gained 5 lbs from this morning to now. Sure ill wake up and be a pound or 2 max lighter. But that's 3 lb more I'm carrying. I just can't get my head around it

Hey. Haha nah i dont concern myself to seriously about what others think on the road thanks to my running. I think after alot of thought i may stick to my 3 runs and 3 lift days a week for a good month or 2 and see the results.i have no current issues with joints etc from running so hopefully will be fine
-
Ah thats a real shame. Cant justify paying that much for it when im already running/lifting. Getting myself a road bike might be a better option with a trainer.although im not sure wether a 16 stone man on a racing bike will look right lol
-
Hi sorry i should have mentioned my budget is around £100 so im not sure wether i can pick one up thats worth it for that price??
-
hi nosebag, yeah i thought that also. i mean i have lost since being at 1900, i dont tend to eat all my exercise cals back as i dont have Hrm to track my exact burn and myfp is very kind i hear. So i tend to eat 50% of what myfp says. Maybe i will try 1700 for a week or 2 and see how my progress goes.
-
I guess im after some reassurance then, i dunno, i felt i wasnt sure about where to be at and looking at sactowns response i was eating a little more than i should be so was worth the ask, ive switched from tdee, to myfp and back round god knows how many times.
-
hi, yeah i know ive asked a few times, my circumstances with jobs etc has changed alot recently and also my routine so i was a bit unsure thats all. thanks for the help sactown

Hi there, if your new to lifting I would really recommend looking at 5x5 starting strength or a similar routine. You want to train each muscle twice a week but you can do that in 3-4 sessions a week easily. As a beginner it's mainly your form you want to work on so don't go crazy with the weight. This routine will develop…
-
Oh but doesnt it suck when you spend the whole week sulking cause you have gained 5lbs by eating well, to find out actually you havent and your basically on track.... damn scales! :P
-
hey, yeah i understand fluctuations but somehow i go from 16.1 stone to 15.11 in about 15 seconds lol. Thats some insane bodily fluctuations if so hehe
-
Grrrr so i think i found the issue... I weighed myself again and realised that for some reason upon taking the scales from a vertical position and putting down it read 16 stone. After i got off scale i weighed again and it was 15.11 right after dinner. I weighed about 5 times in a row after and was always 15.11 so my guess…
-
Yeah but I have weighed myself every morning and it seems to go up rather than down...
-
Ah ok, slightly less freaked out now. I mean I ate a bit more than usual but also worked my butt off and was under calorie goal after workout cals. It's so frustrating to see the scale rise like that. I have to admit I weigh myself every morning but also tend to check throughout the day. No idea why but a real bad habit
-
Hi, yeah I understand that sometimes weight loss will go up and down but I just think 6lbs is loads. Can your body really retain that much water?
-
Hi, some real good ideas here that I'm definitely going to try. I always think eating late will be bad so I try not to eat after about 6:30pm. But I don't sleep until 12-1am so I'm starving by then. I spoke it's better to eat 200 cals that I'm allowed rather than 1600 I'm not...
-
Yeah I guess so but I don't sleep very easily so not really an option but a good idea. The thing is I doubt I'm even hungry, it's probably that I'm used to doing it for a couple weeks and now it's normal. So frustrating. I can just see myself getting to June with no change and I would be gutted. Really would be gutted

Hi all, I did use a step counter which said I covered 16780 steps and 8.2 miles. Says burnt 850 cals but I pay no attention to that tbh. I think sticking as an activity level is probe best option also. Eating around 2400 a day now with it set like this. This seem ok?
-
Hi guys, I've made my exercise sound very hit and miss which isn't the case. Out of the last 2-3 months I've missed 1 football session. Probably 2-3 lifting and 4-5 running sessions. Lifting mainly due to injury. Football cancelled. And running was either being lazy or weather which is basically the same thing lol. I've…

The thing is if I put a loss of 2lbs a week on myfp it gives me 1670 per day. On scooby it gives me like 2400 a day. I can't see myself burning that many calories over a week difference. It's seems kinda far off. I mean that's 800 cals extra I burn a day? Just seems strange that on days I do 5x5 I wouldn't even be close to…
-
One of the issues is I find myself not adding back my calories if I have run on myfp. I run a couple miles etc and will ignore it as I don't know how many calories for sure. Is scooby the best calculator to use for this?
-
Hey guys, appreciate you taking the time to respond! I've done the when I wake up till I sleep method today. But is fine as managed to keep 400 call for my 1am food which tonight is homemade chicken chow mein! :)

I think I initially read through doing 12-12 a bit to fast(at work) so even if I eat my normal daily dinner. I could for example have my breakfast/supper at work at like 2 am. Would that hinder my weight or fat loss in any way?
-
Wow thanks for all the advice guys, I could do 12-12 but I don't feel it would work well for me tbh. On the other hand I do believe cutting down cals on my meals when I can will work well. I will start to make some fresh fruit salad or bring yoghurt to work with me. Once again myfp users. Very simple but effective help.…

no idea how you calculated that? trying to figure out what each number means etc but cant seem to understand it probably because its not my numbers :P
