Walking will work just fine until you build up more fitness for jogging. I've done it this way, started walking 30 minutes in my lunch break and built up from there, now on week 5 of couch to 5k. Just take your time.

You CAN do it! I'm 41 and joined MFP on 28th August this year, already 24 pounds lost! You just have to set your mind to it to begin with, then it's like a light going on in your mind, it just clicks. Make sensible food choices and start by moving around a bit more - I started with a 30 minute walk in my lunch break,…

Well done everyone  Yesterday, my size 14 (UK) jeans kept sliding down, so I plucked up the courage to get my favourite size 12 skinny leg jeans from the wardrobe (not been able to wear them for around 18 months!) and they pulled up, buttoned and not even a muffin top!! Today, this gave me the courage to buy a full…

Well done!! That must've put a huge smile on your face - well deserved!!

I've been to one of these dinners at Bunratty Castle, the food was cooked fairly simply, just find the main components of the dishes in the database and maybe add a few quick calories to compensate for any oils/butter used when cooking. The most important part of the evening is enjoying yourself and making sure your young…

Get her simply the best toy truck you can find x

I'll be up early and pedaling my exercise bike for at least an hour, that should allow me a tasty bowl of trifle after my turkey dinner, and maybe even some shortbread and a couple of choc truffles. If I go over then it will be Zumba before bedtime

I lay out my clothes the night before, though I only exercise at home it still helps me drag myself out of bed. I admit though, the one thing that gets me moving is knowing I get my breakfast once the workout is over - loving my food this is normally all the motivation I need

My man wears long biker underwear UNDER his leathers, I'd cry laughing if he thought to wear them outdoors without the leathers. He looks like Max Wall in them lol, maybe I'm showing my age there... mind you, he has nice muscular legs, maybe worth a giggle on Christmas morning :blushing:

Congrats for all your hard work, you look fabulous, hope you find plenty reasons to wear that pretty dress - it looks wonderful on you

1. Do you like yourself? Why/why not? Yes, 90% of the time, until I get impatient about stuff. 2. What do you like about yourself? I am accepting of the views of others but will stand up for myself and what I believe in if need be. I am gentle, caring and considerate. Oh, and I like my ankles!! 3. What don't you like about…

I got half way through your story holding back the tears, then decided I was foolish to hold back so typing now through the tears, I feel for you, your dedication to Tiger Tom - your best friend in all the world - created memories you can hold with you forever. The photos are wonderful, perhaps one day you can create a…

You look great, they'll be perfect with skinny jeans, and, before you say anything, you MOST CERTAINLY have the figure for them!!!

Medallions of beef, two roast potatoes, mini carrots and drizzled pepper sauce... ok, it's nearly tea time and I'm hungry!
-
You must have a stunning figure, especially after the Shred! I'm 5' 4" and happily aiming for 10 stone. I think the measuring tape should be more important to us all than the number on the scale, it's society that seems to consider weight is the most important factor, what a load of tosh, you are toned and healthy, be…

Well done, that must be a fabulous feeling!!!

It sounds like you perhaps need to chat to someone about your relationship with food, I'm your height and even at 19 I was around 30 pounds heavier (I played sports for Scotland at the time and was really fit). Eat some more, learn to enjoy food as fuel, you will feel better for it.

Hiya http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyweightcalculator.aspx I am just under 5'4" and I'm hopeful I will be able to get to 140 pounds, 10 stone sounds great to me. I don't intend to sound discouraging in any way, however, 7 stone 7 pounds for someone over in inch taller than me sounds skinny. Skinny in an unhealthy way.…

8 months... you are Wonder Woman! Well done, you look amazing!

Everyone you pass will probably be thinking something positive and willing you on. I started to try and get fit with walking in my lunch break, then I started couch to 5k last week! Day 1 felt a little strange but since then I have been feeling fabulous (and knackered) after each walk/jog, the fabulous feeling lasts…

I started with walking in my lunch hour, then added in some exercise bike at home, tried a couple of exercise dvd's, now I just mix it all up, sticking with the walk in my lunch hour Monday to Friday - even in the rainy Scottish weather!! Add me as a friend if you like, I'm on every day

I do Just Dance and the Abba we can dance on the Wii and log it as "dancing general". I work up a sweat so it counts to me

My genetic form of diabetes (inherited from my dad, he got it from his dad) means my blood sugar is ALWAYS elevated, both my dad and grandfather died very suddenly with massive heart attacks, both fairly young (grandfather 65 and dad 67) so I reckon now is the time to be as healthy as I can be! Joined here three months…

I love your picture, made me smile!

That must be a fabulous feeling! Well done ;-)

I've always liked small, stocky men, with lots to cuddle! Love love love me a nice strong pair of shoulders though :blushing:
-
I get my 8 glasses by bringing a 2L bottle of water to work every day, it does get easier to drink it all, honest!
-
^^^ Just this, you'll see the pounds melt away as quickly as they came!

Well done, it just shows all your hard work is paying off!!!
