  • U2 at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, mid 80's I think.
  • Not working for me either, Samsung Galaxy S4, has synced with my lap-top but not giving me any calorie burn in MFP, not even for over 17,000 steps!!!
  • Hi Shan, I walk every day, around 7 miles each day through the week, and at least 12 - 15 miles on a Saturday, less on a Sunday, though I do still get a walk in. I love it, especially when I get to walk along the beach or out in the countryside near where I work/live. I'm lucky that I live in a small town in Scotland,…

  • Lots of fabulous ideas, thank-you! I've done the Leslie Sansone walk at home quite often, time for a change :drinker:
  • I paid £120 for my CBT a few weeks ago, using a bike from ProScot training centre. My first bike is a Honda CBR125 R, insurance £148 for the first year but sure to come down every year as long as there are no claims. Tank on the bike is tiny so tenner fills it and seems to go forever. I was told £480 for direct access/test…
  • Mackie's of Scotland delicious Vanilla
  • Hiya, I'm Ginger-Scottish, we might be distant cousins?
  • I'm Scottish, and if asked my nationality I always say Scottish, never British. I have many friends from other racial/cultural backgrounds , however, I don't think they were born here in Scotland so would still describe themselves as Turkish, Italian etc. One Turkish friend now has a UK passport but would still consider…
  • Blessed to be from the Kingdom of Fife, on the sunny east coast of Scotland
  • I have a Fitbit and always get more than 5 miles a day, I walk in my lunch break at work and I've been known to walk to the local shop and back just to get my miles up before bed. On a Saturday I get a lovely long walk in, normally taking me to around 13 - 15 miles on those days. I get my OH to drop me off when he is going…
  • So sorry to read of your recent loss, I love the promise you made to your grandfather and would feel honoured to "walk" along with you, there and back again! I walk every day in my lunch break, I'm sure you'll be surprised how quickly your miles add up!
  • Becky, my sweet friend, you got this! We are here to support you and to try to motivate you - remember how much you were loving the boxing, maybe look into similar classes but try a kickboxing class to mix things up a bit and make your routine feel fresh again??? I was getting fed up of sitting on my exercise bike in the…
  • Howard, a new breed of hero...
  • Jim_1960 offers fantastic support and encouragement, checks food diary entries diligently and has a wicked sense of humour (yes, with a U, we're in the Uk!) add him first, you won't regret it
  • We've got him scared ladies, he's trying to deny knowing us, surely not Jim, you know life would be unbearable without your band of Musketeers
  • They are wonderfully supportive pals (more supportive than my sports bra - just saying!) I'd add them again in a heartbeat - and may have to if I get culled after this
  • OK, just burst out laughing at work... getting some really strange looks!
  • I'm here for the support and encouragement, and the challenges make me try things I probably wouldn't test myself with otherwise!
  • I posted my niceness yesterday by mistake, helped another biker with a shot of my tool-kit (can of WD40 is my entire tool-kit) but it's what he needed and got him back on the road!! Part of a charity motorcycle run. We donated a prize worth £50 (full motorcycle valet) to the raffle - I get to do the cleaning!! It was all…
  • 147.2, so 1 pound gone
  • From my Dad: There is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it! Sadly Dad is gone now but I remember this advice every time I think, "I can't do that!" So I step up and give it my best shot, and you know what, other than singing which is NOT my thing at all, he's always been correct!!!
  • I was under my calories but sadly not enough loos on the walking route I went today - no chance I was getting in 10 glasses of water, sorry!
  • 7.25 miles walked (hilly walk too, fitbit gave 65 floors climbed!!) rest of the day on a charity motorcycle run, fabulous day!
  • I used a mashed banana, egg and ground almonds for mine, and always added some baking powder to help it along, made them small pancake size rather than in one dollop because they were easier to turn. Very tasty!!!
  • Hiya, I'm Lesley and I live in a pretty coastal town on the east of Scotland. I've been on MFP since the end of August '12 and it has made a tremendous difference to my life. I am feeling fitter and healthier than I have for years, and putting the effort in has actually been enjoyable! I've only got around 7 pounds or so…
  • Love it - I especially like the waves in your water glass!!
  • I have MODY diabetes (Gck), first diagnosed aged 8 but further research over the years (thanks Exeter University) has given loads more detail. Caused by a mutated gene I inherited from my Dad, and he inherited from his Dad. My mum is also diabetic (type 2) but my sister is the healthiest person I know! I simply have higher…
  • I'm back to being the same bra size I was aged 13! I don't mind, I've lost 34 pounds and I never had generous boobs anyway, with the weight-loss they were pretty much guaranteed to go. I suggest to my OH that he may prefer to fondle my shoulder blades lol, joking aside, they may be small but those nipples work just fine…
  • Remarkable changes in such a short time, you are doing great!
