I have a fitbit too and I could be wrong, but I believe that when MFP syncs with your fitbit it only adds extra calories after your allowance for an active lifestyle is already factored in. Your fitbit adjustment is what you have burned beyond what was expected during your typical day. At least that is how it was decribed…

Yeah Ive noticed that in the past too...sometimes it seems like nothing changes for a long time, then BOOM. I try not to get discouraged while Im waiting for my body to catch up...This hard work has to pay off at some point, right?!

Ok so I should definitely weigh myself less it sounds like. I should just hide the scale like someone else suggested, because it just stares at me everytime I go into the bathroom! ugh...I always hear people say that they have lost inches but not weight?? How is that even possible??

Good points! Thats good to know...so do you think it takes about 2-3 days for your body to register weightloss?? I have always wondered after a really good weekof eating well and working out, when I could see it reflected on the scale...

I'm 5'4" with a small frame. I currently weigh 117 but my goal weigth is 108-110 lbs. because I feel the most comfortable in my own skin at that weight. Im in a size 3/4 right now but want to get back into my 1/2's.

I slice up a an apple and throw that and 2 cinnamon sticks in a pitcher of water and let it soak overnight. The cinnamon helps to energize you and speed up metabolism, plus it tastes great!

Thank you! It sounds like we have similar body types. I agree with weighing more and having muscle, but I have never been able to really gain muscle...I can tighten up slightly,but thats about it. I think I struggle more with it, because as I get older Im finding the change in my body and metabolism really scary!

I dont know why people who dont know me, feel the need to judge. I have a very small frame and I can promise you that at 110lbs I do NOT look emaciated. That has never been the look I find attractive or aspire to. I have never been able to gain much muscle and I simply feel my best at that weight.. and I do not work out…

Thanks so much!! I will check it out. Its nice to meet people with the same weightloss goals that will not judge me because my standards of comfortable do not match up with theirs. To each their own, but I think if you cant say something nice, keep your thoughts to yourself!

Im 5'4" with a small frame, so at 118 I do not feel good about myself. I dont carry the weight well. Not that I should have to justify myself, but my goal weight is where I felt the best about myself. I dont think that makes me vain. If thats the case, arent we all vain since we are here to get in shape and feel our best?

Thanks Kellycici..that helps. I will try increasing my calories a little bit and see if that helps. Im not trying to lose it all at once. I just wanted to see a tiny bit of progress instead of the scale going in the wrong direction!

Kms YOU should not be RUDE by calling me vain. You have no idea what my build or body structure is. 118 may not be unhealthy for my height, but it is also not comfortable or where I feel my best. I gain weight in the wrong places and my clothes do not fit right. Please dont crticize me for wanting to feel my best.

I understand that it has only been 8 days and that I should give it more time. I guess I am just being impatient. Like I said, Im just not used to my slowing metabolism bc I used to drop weight with no problem when I was a little bit younger.

I havent been using a scale, but have been logging total calories for everything pretty accurately. I also have been underestimating my calories burned through excercising and probably overestimating my calories consumed. The only thing that I can come up with is that I am possible eating too few calories. I am just scared…

Thanks everyone. Thats encouraging. Maybe I'm expecting results too soon, but I guess I'm just used to losing weight a lot easier when I was younger. I definitely feel as though my metabolism is slowing and it is freaking me the F out! Excuse my French :)
