There are three of us at the office with Reebok Stay Balls (large exercise ball). We use them as chairs and it is great for your core!

I haven't gotten on a treadmill or any other such device since I started Zumba! I do Zumba or other cardio workouts like Insanity or Turbo Fire.
-
Try the Insanity workouts. It has defined my calf muscles and made them slimmer. Lots of circuit training with jogging, jumping jacks, squats, but kicks, yoga stretching, etc.

Great post! Thanks for the motivational message!

Thanks for the info!

Watch your sugar intake. Try to keep it between 50-75g per day. Tough to do, but my doctor recommended it and my belly disappeared.
-
Best of luck to you! You can do this!!

I woke up an hour early to do my post two week INSANITY workout Fit Test. I improved in five areas and stayed level in one!

What a great post! I'm so happy for your success. It gives me inspiration to keep up with my goals!

Great information! I drink (chug) a cup of hot water with the juice of one lemon every morning. If I don't have a lemon, I use two tablespoons of cider vinegar!

I love sugar too! It's the sugar count in food that is my concern. My doctor told me that 50 - 75 grams of sugar is the most anyone should have each day if you want to lose weight and get rid of belly fat. That's about 10 tablespoons. That's not much by my standards, but I try to stay below 50 on a good day and within that…

I use both. I use Aerobics(high) for Pure Cardio and the Plyometrics Cardio. I use Circuit for the rest.

I would love be over on protein and fiber, and under in sugar and carbs. Sugar is my weakness and it holds fat on your body. As far as sodium goes, I generally try to eat as fresh and raw as possible. Not easy these days because it is time consuming! I tend to sweat like crazy when I exercise, so it keeps my sodium in…

I log everything. I think everyone should. You are correct about sugars being a part of most vegetables. They also have carbs. I think logging the different items we eat gives us great insight about the amount of fiber, protein, sugar, carbs, etc. our bodies are taking in. Just my opinion, but it will help you discover…

I'm a wine lover! Had FOUR glasses last night of a limited Cabernet a friend sent to me from a vineyard she visited. Oh yeah....4 glasses is a bottle! :drinker: Totally worth it! It was fabulous! Cheers to the vodka drinker!!

I'm 5'1 1/2" shooting for 120! Hope to be there by my 50th birthday!

First I would see a doctor, preferably a sports doctor. I would ask them to recommend a good physical therapist who specializes with people who exercise. Exercise and stretching are a great way to heal if you are doing the proper regimen to protect and build the area of and around your injury. Been there, done that, and it…

You are right on target! I've been trying to drink at least 20oz. of water each morning prior to any other beverage, ie. coffee. Another healthy additive to water is lemon, lime or cucumber slices! So refreshing when it's hot outside.

I love it! Several years ago, I bought a retractable pole that I can use in our gym at home. There is a DVD series called, The "S" Factor. Great workouts and I saw amazing results in my upper body strength, flexibility, and balance. I've focused on yoga and P90X lately, but I may have to get those DVD's out again. It's a…

Amen to all! I am 6 weeks into low sugar/carbs/alcohol and my body is responding sooooo much better than low fat, low calorie. My cravings are slowly diminishing and I feel great!

Hey there! My name is Jill and I live in OKC as well! I will be happy to share some recipes and encouragement!

Absolutely take a break! You will find that you might be less likely to eat as much if you only do 3 days a week and watch your calorie intake.

I have searched for the best thrift stores in my area and have found some great clothes (name brands) at a great price. I'm going to wear my $5 pants, skirts and tops until I reach my goal weight. Then I will buy two new outfits and more later when I have maintained it for at least two months.

Get rid of everything in the house that is bad for your diet. Plan your weekend meals in advance, allowing for healthy snacks. Then find an activity that will keep your mind and hands occupied. Clean out drawers, your closet, the garage......I've been doing this for three weekends and now I have enough stuff for a massive…
