I did it my first time at 285 lbs. And I have dislocated my left knee 4 times in the past. Take it slow, do what you can, modify the moves if you need to. Take as many breaks as you need, and listen to your body. Don't be afraid to take extra rest days. I never do insanity two days in a row anymore. Your body will adapt.…

Hell, around here it takes me three months to make an apt, 3 more months before the labs come back, and another 2 to get a followup appt. Labs by email? Sounds great to me.

It was no fun telling both my brother in law and sister in law that their mother had terminal cancer. I think this will be a common theme, I'm afraid. Death is hard to deal with.
-
Fixed it for you, though it still needs more cowbell.

To all those who suggested she have a bowel movement before weighing: Women! Don't! Poop! Especially the cute ones. ok! they don't! don't spoil this for me. not listening. not listening. lalalalalalala

Oh, and congrats on the over 40 and under 200 thing! I may be a couple of days early but you're pretty much there! :drinker:

Challenges are a great way to focus your efforts but the only one grading you is yourself! You gave it a try and pretty much made it. The difference between where you are and where you set the bar is meaningless. Just keep on keepin on and you'll win in the end. We all idolize passing the magic round numbers but they are…

Hmpf. And here I thought it was about better health, better looks and achieving some modicum of fitness. I can achieve the same goal by pushing on the towel rack when I weigh in...the only one we're cheating is ourselves... I think we all know better. Life is far too short to agnonize over 3.4lbs!
-
Isn't a personal challenge just a way of focusing your motivation towards a goal rather than achieving the goal itself? Ok, you set a challenge for yourself. You used that challenge mentality to stick to your diet and exercise. Sooooooo.....haven't you've already won?!? Just because you didn't meet the PURELY arbitrary…

It's actually pretty ridiculous. Especially when you consider the storyline really started in 1998. Grrrr. I'd also like to see the next installment of Brothers in Arms (pretty obviously going to be a Battle of the Bulge settting) and a proper sequel to Alan Wake.

Right here, folks. Though I have to say: all this fitness has sure cut into my gaming time! On another note, will they EVER finish Half Life 3???
-
Oooooooookay. Let that be a lesson to y'all, I guess... and that, my friends, is why my diary is closed!

Evidently Thunder Thighs buys a different food item with every breath. This is some diet!
-
The dieter gives serious thought to entering the biscuit-batter wrestling match in the heavyweight division under the name "Thunder Thighs"
-
But when they get there there's no biscuit batter left because it all got used in the biscuit wrestling pit in the back room.
-
But all of them feels just right.

How are the houseflies out that way?

You know what's even more frightening? That the murder happened in the 70's and the trial was in 2011!

I grew up on a property where the wife had allegedly poisoned her husband with mushrooms. We lived in Niagara on the Lake which was the site of MANY battles circa 1812 and terrible deaths. And I now live right where the Battle of Beaverdams (also 1812) took place. Nothing TOO scary has happened...(but that's another…

Most of the well known supplements do have a positive effect in clinical trials, but in the real world? For you and me and everyone else? It doesn't really make a difference. The only supplements I can say I notice a difference with are ECA stacks and pre-workout supplements. Even the almighty creatine doesn't produce any…

"Jack can't talk Thai!" "Oh, yes, Dina. Jack CAN talk Thai. Jack talk Thai REAL well."

Just clean it real good before you go to the expense and trouble of having a jeweler replace what is possibly a good battery. If it still acts up after a couple of good cleanings THEN change the battery. The battery is specified for approx. 700 hours of operation, after all. I use the buhbump stuff too and it does help.…

One other thing. Very few people can eat intuitively and estimate their calories. Weigh and log all your food. I guarantee you are eating more than you think. Which is probably perfectly appropriate for the needs of insanity.

Let's bust out some rough math here. 2 and a half months is 75 days. 25 to 30 lbs is a pound lost every 2.5 to 3 days, or something like 2.5 to 3 lbs a week. EVERY week. On a body weight of 144 that's already lean snough to see your abs coming in? No way that can be done safely. You are already in a healthy weight range.…

O. M. G. Mind=Blown I think.., I must....just, wow.

BTW some Polars have the "heart touch" feature. If your HRM registers 00 but the Heart Touch still works, you've just proven it's not the battery.
-
Probably NOT the battery. Probably the contact between the strap and your body. I've had some problems with mine, some of which were resolved by cleaning the strap electrodes really well as well as the "snap contacts" of the sensor and strap. Dropouts are common with these things, Polar went through several designs before…

Twice a day! Record every piece of data, not just the ones I like! (Btw that's why my news feed makes it look like I'm a star....it congratulates me on losses but lets the gains slip by unremarked) Always the same conditions. I can vary 8 to 10 lbs from weigh in to weigh in. I am always partly dehydrated first thing in the…
