the one thing I have learnt from reading this entire thread that it doesn't seem to matter whether we consider ourselves fat, obese, skinny, slim or whatever, we are more interested in discussing others issues with their bodies rather than our own. And thank you to the poster who mentioned about the rudeness of 'you're too…

I am happy with the weight loss - going from a size 20 to a size 12 has also been fantastic. I still have body image issues - sometimes I look in the mirror and think - have I changed?! But I have read many other posts on here with the same problem so I know that its not just me. So yes I am happy with my body - I would be…

Thank you for sharing this - I got to goal today and am freaking out on what to do next!! Reading this thread has helped me to realise I am not alone. I also lost weight by practicing portion control and I must trust myself in that I have learned what that needs to be, I have been doing this for nearly 400 days after all!!…

Hi - I have had IBS for 18 years (it used to be called having a 'spastic colon' then as the pain comes in spasms) and a lactose intolerance. I have just had to find out what does affect me and avoid it. For example I haven't eaten cheese for 18 years (apart from a couple of 'tries' resulting in a lot of nastiness). It does…

And that is why I am never going back to WW - cos you know those veggies DO have calories................
-
Ah well it won't work - thank you for the help but its not going to play ball :) Still it made me chuckle  I put it as my profile pic instead :)
-
Congratulations! You look absolutely fabulous and so very happy :)

In my head I am 27...............
-
My youngest is 22 and I still blame him  and the comment about stretch marks is true - they never go.

two of my sons have graduated this year and cannot get a job even though they worked all through their uni course - there are 50+ graduates going for each job.... they are now doing part time work where they can. Don't tar all young people with the same brush.

lamb steak cooked with a tad of olive oil, rosemary, paprika and ground black pepper - 200 calories ish - yum

i also recently was diagnosed with ectopic ventricular heartbeat. After all the tests, my consultant told me mine was caused by a virus slightly scarring my heart that caused part of it to beat when it shouldn't - and although scary and annoying, I am fine. I suffer a lot from costochondritus (inflammation of the rib cage)…

Well done - you look amazing. Your story hit a lot of home runs for me and you are so brave to tell it.
-
I have lost 1 and a half inches off my calves as part of overall weightloss - i think that you just have to see where it goes from tbh - I wasnt expecting it to go from there!
-
oh yes - this one. They say - have you not tried Raspberry Ketone tea - or the 5/2 diet - then? When I say no, I just ate less and moved more - they sigh - people just want a quick fix (I know I used to!). They have to be at the right place in their lives to realise that it may take a bit of time and a bit of work to do…

Chips - or crisps as we call them in the UK - are my one treat. I eat the lower calorie versions, but I feel like I am NOT ON A DIET if I can eat them. We have baked ones that taste just as good as the fried versions. As long as you don't binge on them, I dont see a problem.
-
This is really important - this has to be something that you can keep up for ever - you are not on a diet - you are changing the way you eat long term. And in August 2012 I was in your position and couldnt imagine how I was gonna lose 66.5lb - now 13 mths later its nearly here - and its does drag sometimes, but to be…

I have to confess to being a tad upset about my reduction in the boob area too - but I have to admit it is nice to be able to walk fast without feeling they are getting a life of their own swinging away there..... and I can sleep on my front for the first time in years!! I have gone from a 42E to a 36F - so the cup size is…

good to know its not just me getting these comments - 48 years old here and in the best place weight wise since before having my three children 25 years ago. Never ever thought I would get here - and now having to put up with comments on how 'haggard' I am becoming!! Oh well!!
-
laughs insanely at the thought of being 131lb - at 5'9" - I havent been that light since I was in primary school. Honestly - the total generalisation of 'this is what you should be' is both funny and so annoying. I am now 12 stone - or 168lbs. If I get much thinner I will look like a carthorse that has been starved... not…
-
I also suffer from looking in the mirror and seeing a fat person - it has taken me buying a pair of jeans I never thought I would get in to for me to also realise I am not fat anymore :D Congrats on your epiphany moment and for treating your body to being healthy.
-
I can totally sympathise with you on the stress eating. I am a convicted comfort eater! Unfortunately the only way I have learned to cope with this is to stop buying the comfort foods in the first place, and have a few 'mini' treats in the cupboards. These are currently mini merigunes for the sugar hit; 99 flakes (the ones…

WOW!
-
Me too - I just don't get the starvation brigade at all :ohwell:
-
Fantastic - and its good to see someone else who doesn't do all the OTT stuff succeed :drinker:
-
This! And I put myself down as sedentary and then added any exercise I did and ate those calories back - 1200 calories was just too little for me at the start. I am now easily managing a net 1380, but I wouldn't like to go any lower really.
-
well done, you look great :)
