I would like to know this too. I seem to do the same.

I had pizza this week too. I was tempted by watching a Happy Days episode! HA! Oh well. I don't feel too guilty. We all slip up sometimes.

Definately realistic is better than unrealistic. You need to feel like you are achieving something and if you keep setting goals you are going to fail than you might get disappointed and quit. All the best!!

All the best, SunnyFitt! I have 9month old baby girl. I am determined to lose the extra weight before next baby. I had gestational diabetes during pregnancy and am very determined to not have it again next time. Hope it goes well. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like.

Sure! All the best with it all.

Thank you, anubis609! That was really helpful advice. I have been feeling the same as the original poster (Sandra_M) from a over indulgent weekend!

I don't know how WW works and am still fairly new to this, but maybe your goal settings are different. So, on MFP maybe you need to set your "how much to lose each week" to a larger number and this will reduce how much you are allowed to eat... not sure if this is the problem. All the best.

Congrats on your 9month old. I also have a 9month old baby! I am not working so I can't completely understand your situation. But I do have husband and house to keep up along with church commitments that happen at our house regularly. Definately not the same pressures as you have. But I have an idea with the yoga/pilates.…

Thank you for the article. It was a good read.

Fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of sugar is really nice. Fresh berries and yoghurt. Small spread of jam. Frozen yoghurt (instead of ice cream) with fruit. Have fun! Oh and drizzle some honey over the fresh berries and/or bananas. Yum.

I have a similiar question, is it possible to put weight on when you ovulate? I seem to put weight on during this time rather than normal TOM.

Thank you, Everyone, for your posts of encouragement! I appreciate all your comments.

Hey. I am a new mum with 8month old daughter. I am not working and hope to not have to. Even though I only have one child at the moment it is certainly a new lifestyle and has new challenges! I try to go for a walk in the morning with Megan around 6.30am after I have fed the baby. It is a great time of day. My husband and…

Lots of vegies! Very low calories. Try a lean cut of meat, about 1/4 of your plate, with 1/4 plate of good carb like basmati rice and then 1/2 plate of vegies.

Good job! I know the feeling. I have been "trying" to lose the weight for years. A particular family member asks me about my weight everytime I see them. It was easier to say that yes I was trying when in reality I wasn't. But this year I am making the changes and have begun to lose the weight, but I am doing it because I…

Greetings! I am 28 and new mother to 8month old beautiful girl! Am loving this new life as mum. I am trying to get back to the weight I was when I was married 7 years ago. It took 7 years to put on so I am giving myself some time to lose it. This site has been fabulous. I love the recording food and counting calories and…

This is definately my problem too. That's one reason why I love this site. I am measuring all my food and ensuring that I am cooking and serving up the amount that I need rather than what I want. Sometimes, when I am really hungry, I ask my husband to dish up dinner so I don't get too greedy and dish up too much; he is…

Greetings, Amarhia! Welcome. This site is very useful and with the encouragement from other people here it is a great way to start losing weight. All the best with your goals. Merinda

A good, hot cup of English Breakfast tea ... from a teapot with loose leaves not a tea bag... how delightful! It is a pleasure to enjoy during a busy day. I know this might sound dreadful, but you could cut back on how much you are drinking by reusing teabags/tealeaves during the day. This way you still get the habit of…

I truely believe our past plays a huge role in how we perceive life and ourselves. It can be a good influence or a negative one. Weight loss in the past can encourage us to keep going; but just as much, weight gain can be a huge discouragement and even overshadow any weight loss we have made. But at the same time, we need…

Hi Kerri. I am 28. Last year after giving birth to my daughter I weighed in at my highest ever in my life. And to top it off, body shape had changed and no clothes fit. I have made some progress before Christmas, but nothing as remarkable as yourself. Well done on your fabulous efforts! I am learning to focus on how far I…

Greetings! I am 28, married and with a beautiful 7month old daughter. I am also trying to get into shape after having my daughter. All the best.

Greetings!! Another Aussie, but from Melbourne. Friend with an ipod touch found this site for me. I love it! All the best for your journey.

Thanks for this post. I really needed it this week. I lost 6lb in 3 weeks and was really happy. Those were my first 3 weeks here so I was really excited that I had found something that works for me. But the last 2 weeks I have lost nothing. And so I started getting back into my old habit of thinking that food was bad and…

Thank you for your posts on oatmeal. I was just thinking today how much I struggle to eat it. I usually eat if for breakfast when I made bad choices the previous day. Kind of like a punishment. I would like to be able to enjoy it more and thus eat it more regularly. Thanks for the suggestions! I will definately give them a…
