You are right, refining the coconut oil makes it like all the other processed oils that are no good for us. I find coconut oil dribbled over my berries tastes good.

Hi, I don't like to take supplements so what I do is check what foods are highest in whatever nutruient I feel I am lacking in. I have also learnt that organ meat is high nutrient and it is how the Inuit got their vitamins and minerals without eating plant matter. 'Deep Nutrition' by Catherine Shanahan MD explains it all.…

I noticed that the milk I was drinking increased my carbohydrate level so I have given milk up but still having cream. I have had a small loss of weight (1/2 Kg) since but too early yet to see if it will make a big difference.

I eat Paleo/Primal and calories don't count, just carbohydrates and fats. If you look at my diary you will see that my carbohydrates are low, but my fats and protein are always overbudget. Calories don't count.

Ditto Divemunkey. It has taken me 18 months to loose 10kgs (thats a little under 2 stone) but my body looks 5ks thinner and fitter. So hang in there PaleoRDH because Paleo is forever.

Track your carbs and all should be well. Remember that insulin is required to store fat and insulin production is influenced by carbohydrates. No carbs - no insulin - no fat storage.
