i would imagine that some people could wake up and do an Ironman if they really wanted to. i would not assume the 2,300 cals burned of the energy you 'have left' are all muscle glycogen, which i think is what your saying, otherwise i'm not sure why its worth mentioning also agree that they point is moot, thats why i said…

you get used to it. while i'd say you can always perform better propperly primed with nutrition, i think its mostly a mental thing, its not like you muscles will not be able to find a source of energy (even if that be your muscles themselves lol)
-
agree with that. on the odd times i got myself out of bed first thing to do insantiy, i at least needed a small apple.
-
the idea is just that sleeping is the longest one typically goes without eating... seeing as how its been that long since you've replenished, glycogen would presumably be somewhat lower then it would be at other points in the day (though that does not necessairly mean they are 'low' or 'depleted'). weight training probably…

its the same idea as doing weights before cardio, that muscle glycogen will be at its lowest and therefore you supposedly start using body fat as fuel faster. there is probably something to it, but the effect would be small, and there are other factors like exercise intensity that will effect what your body is using for…

i have some excellent skin cream for you!

thats actually an extreamly accurate description of the workout you get from insanity btw
-
i never got it either

visited where? i always thought that RICE was really only recommended in the initial stages of recovery, thats what most of the internet says about back injuries anyway. i think if the injury involves swelling then it could help. although i agree that its really supposed to slow blood flow and essentially slow down…

OP, your definetly doing it for me in that red baithing suit... in case that helps

opinions are pretty much all your going to get out of any forum

3,500 doesn't sound crazy. your tall. as your weight comes down you'll have to restrict a bit more to keep it going. you could go for less calories, but the bigger the calorie defecit the more likely you are to drop muscle in the end, the only real way to know for sure is trial and error. to that end, you will want to make…

agree that its probably best to do it via your 'lifestyle' or 'activity level ' or whatever its called. whats your hieght and weight, we could evaluate the 3,500 better with that info. althought the work you describe sounds pretty demanding, and i could see it burning anywhere from 500-1000 calories over your BMR over the…

pumped about the upcoming syfy zombie series odd that i didn't identify them as vampires in the Strain. and for some reason still have a problem with that designation even though they obviously do fit the profile.

might be best to use a chair and support yourself with your legs to do negatives until you can do a more controlled negative. they are not easy. i think virtually everyone struggles with them. disagree that after the first one, more come easy lol. i suppose they do to a point but slows down very fast

and/or get a dvd program that incorperates said equipment TRX and other suspension trainners are good to and rather cheap compared to weights
-
what did you do at the gym?
-
^^ i'd say pretty much any beach body DVD program (p90x, insanity) isn't going to disapoint
-
i'm enjoying it, seems a pretty stright forward story line though. 'the left overs' has me scratching my head a bit
-
^^ agree thats pretty much how you do it. there's really no short cut, nor really any comparable exercise that will help you get there. just got to keep going for it.

glad i'm not the only one

that does seem kind of crack potish. dextrose is chemically identicaly to glucose (blood sugar), not sure why it has a different name. but i imagine anything you inject into a joint could cause irritation. When i had a lower back injury... if i rested long enough the pain would subside, but when i returned to exercise it…

whats wrong with RICE? seems to help me but imagine it can be different from injury to injury. helps with tendonitis... and probably any kind of 'itis'. think i'm going to go buy a tommy copper sleeve right now actually lol
-
then we are of the same mind. i'm glad you found a solution for your sqauting, hopefully you will find away out for your shoulders as well. my biggest problem these days is telling the difference between more 'typical' aches/pains and a developing over use injury
-
this is really more because of the injury itself then your age, although the two are intertwined, and operationally there isn't much difference between one and the other anyway. it may take physical therapy but its not something you simply have to except IMO. other limitations that you might ascribe to age my really just…

i would say HIIT is the most bang for your buck and will make you the most 'fit'. assuming 'fit' includes cardio vascular fitness
