an intelligent application of direct ab work certainly wouldn't give you any less definition

I also vote for HIIT, but if your set on a machine, make it a rowing machine!

I mix mine in after I make the oatmeal. never hand any issues mixing protein into hot things. sometimes it does get a bit clumpy, but that's because I plopped the scoop in and then came back 5 min later to stir it.

why no pull ups?

5-10 second rest (or none) makes sense for circuit training, but if your doing straight sets something isn't right... you're either working to fast or not working hard enough if that makes sense
-
your funny. why do you care at all? You know some people who go there even though they are not 100% happy? well I guess it fills a niche even thought its not perfect. this thread makes my eyes hurt

Either they have enough free weight to support your goals, or they don't. There really doesn't need to be any argument beyond that. If you want classes your obviously barking up the wrong tree
-
the dumbbells go up to 80 at all the PFs local to me. The funny part is that I've seen some of the most inconsiderate gym goers at PF out of anywhere. its cheap an convenient.
-
sounds like you have basically all the cardio equipment they have available in your home, so I would definitely recommend using your time there on resistance training.
-
I like the idea of building your own gymnastics equipment, that stuff can be pretty expensive and probably pretty easy to make

what's the concept behind the bamboo bar? is it to help break through strength plateau's? noticed on hard knocks that they were doing a lot of band work (at least in the one episode I saw).

I've never done p90x2, but I had heard that it was designed to be flexible, and that there was more then one disc progression routine that came with the documentation depending on what athletic goals you were after... maybe that's way off lol
-
there is a time and place to 'cheat'... but its certainly not EVERY time you do it, as I generally observe from the public these days
-
there's the banana pancakes stand by lol. mash up one banana blend in one egg add blue berries if desired cook

I don't think I've seen a single person do bicep curls without swinging back and forth since 1992

I also despise doctors. but would recommend you get cleared by one in this instance. even though its been 2 years, PT might be a better choice and then move on from there.

idk what flutter kick squats are but they sound tough

actually seems like you've employed a lot of useful techniques here. never even thought of the step method, that's a great idea. Only thing I can see that your really doing wrong is that your doing push ups to often. Every other day should really be your maximum frequency. you can do multiple sessions during your on days…

I've seen many movies where the doctor will say to an older gentlemen 'you have the body of an 18 year old!' I guess its a 'thing', but its a 100% subjective thing. like I don't think there is any tests they run that would say your the equivalent of however many years old. when a MD says it, he just means your surprisingly…

well if you don't want to loose weight, and you want more visible muscles, then you want a lifting routine to support hypertrophy, which would involve a rest day (from lifting at least). and if you don't want to lose weight or play a sport, then there's not a whole lot of point in working out on the rest day (unless it…

It's good for your overall health. if you want to look a certain way, its not as important, but if you want to be truly fit then its unavoidable
-
my point is simply that training every single day is really only necessary for those in engaged in athletic competitions. and even then its far from necessary to NEVER take a rest day. I don't think it does much to support your goals, but if its something you wanted to do, then enjoy
-
overtraining her body I think is the answer to your question. not really sure what your point is

I mean world, which ever is in orlando

been going to Disney land with my brother and his three kids every year going on 5 years now. I love my niece and nephews, and I do it for them, but I'm this close to putting my foot up Mickey's *kitten*

Lets talk goals. Unless you are training for an athletic competition, training every day is totally unnecessary. Virtually every appearance goal (other then gaining muscle mass) would be served just as well or better with a strict attention to nutrition and a decent workout routine.
-
I don't care what level of effort or weight your doing, full body weight training every day makes no sense at all. if you want to do a spilt then your talking less crazy but I'd still take 1 out of 7 days off from lifting. do whatever extra cardio you wanted that day
-
maybe if you're 18. if your over 25, over use injuries are common. but that's bigger then just taking rest days. I agree that the average MFPer probably isn't going to over train, but lifting every single day would be just plain ridiculous. even steroid users (drastically steps up recovery) take rest days. you can workout…
-
I would agree with this. but I think the general public also grossly over estimates the amount muscle they can continue to build after years of training, in terms of poundage. like maybe you could grow some in a slight deficit, but its probably going to be like fractions of an ounce... hard to notice in a mirror and…

that's a good point, but it doesn't mean there were not any potential draw backs you did or did not avoid. if its part of your way of life, or your child is that gung ho about doing lifts with almost no weight, your probably not in a whole lot of danger. I think its more to deter the extreme of going for one rep max every…
