dumbbells might just be the filthiest thing on earth

actually like that too

I know I'm not the only guy that looks at a shirt with holes in it and or stains on it and says 'this would be good for working on the car... or the gym' lol

I think there is actually a lot of people who walk/run it. well, I was in Disney when they did their half marathon, and it think and extremely high number of them walk/ran it. if its like the Boston marathon then that's a different story, so the venue might make a difference there. but the only path to defeat here is not…

pull ups did a lot to add muscle in my mid back and helped with some tricky back pain I had been having.

at some point, 'dealing with pain' becomes an over use injury. Personally don't think that exercise should leave you in pain, and if your routinely experiencing DOMS, I feel like your probably working harder then you need too in order so see results... and your probably setting yourself up for injury. if you have…

both are pretty butt kicking. my vote goes to insanity because you don't need anything extra. if you get p90x you'll need a decent set of dumbells and a pull up bar. personally, I would say if your not already in half way decent shape you might want to check out T25 or p90x3 just because the workouts are shorter.

throw some prancersizing in and I think you've got it.

I think you can pretty much say any FPS is basically golden eye remade and online

I agree that they certainly don't have to be mutually exclusive

to say genetics plays no role in behavior is simply untrue. its as much an interplay of nature versus nurture just as any physical trait. Not that it really matters, both your genetics and your environmental conditions regarding food will both come largely from your family. Growing up, I'd say that to a large extent your…

idk, I've done the low carb thing and didn't really notice much of an advantage other then I kind of liked to eat that way. probably most useful in contest prep big thumbs up on body weight exercises though. what are you doing there?

I think what your sort of after here is exploring a possible correlation between ones looks and potential for a bad date? Seeing as how I'm towards the bottom of the looks spectrum, most of my dates technically qualify A) out of my league, regardless of what the world in general thinks of them, so I'm probably a bit skewed…

I'm quite certain there are a lot of personal trainer hacks... can the same be said for martial arts trainers? how to know a good one from a bad one?

if the idea is resistance training... then 100+ of something means the movement is simply to easy to be effective. but the point of the ab muscles is to bring the sternum about an inch closer to the pelvis. so crunches aren't such a bad idea. if you pre-exhaust your abs with something far more taxing, like hanging leg…

the prework out thing is basically a mental crutch. it doesn't actually give you energy to burn (unless there are calories in it and even then there are likely better sources). At best its something like caffeine or some other stimulant.

I think steroids or test or any performance enhancers are and probably always have been far more prevalent then most people think. While young athletes are probably most at risk to be set up to want to use these, I don't think they make up the majority of the steroid users in the united states. I honestly feel that,…

if you want to go the approach of training to improve grip, which seems like a good idea to me, I'd look at those 'fat grips' I believe they are called from rogue.com. you can slip them over any bar. the increased diameter is supposed to train your grip muscles and when you return to a normal diameter bar its supposed to…

lol, only a dirty girl would have to hide her name! lol just kidding. does seem a little weird tho. then again I used to tell people my name was Conrad in highschool just for *kitten* and giggles. on the other hand I also went by the name 'Drunkie' in college. other interesting name based anecdotes: 1) had a girl friend of…

there's nothing here that says how long those studies were done for. you could probably stop lifting for a week, or two, maybe even a month and if you were eating well you might not lose much or any muscle mass but eventually I suspect you would
-
with out some more traditional form of resistance, you are unlikely to adequately train type II muscle (or fast twitch, not sure if that's 1 or 2 right now). But that could be incorporated into HIIT. Another criticism for say, running, would be that it doesn't offer any measurable resistance for your upper body.

if your at or near your genetic potential, yes one could eat surplus calories and make negligible gains in muscle mass. if he's recovering muscle he previously had, there's a good chance a significant amount could be muscle, but even in that instance a pound of muscle per week is quite unrealistic. I would think the…

personally would avoid weighting myself twice a day and all the logging would drive me insane pretty fast, but I do commend you on being through with the logging and weighting (of food)

was thinking of this recently, mostly because of the phenom little league female pitcher. That's pretty much the biggest stage she'll have an opportunity to be on, and that seemed sad. I'm not really going to weight in on what sports would be more appropriately co-ed... but I do hope that IF there are or will be women that…
