BMR is for when you are doing absolutely nothing. You basically eat above this number in order to not starve yourself. your TDEE is your maintenance level if you dont want to lose any weight. Usually for a healthy weight loss you subtract 500 from this number. Hope that helps

There is so magic pill. Diet and exercise combined will do the job. Always remember. "its not a sprint, it's a marathon"

Before deciding low carb, do a lil research on it. If you go too low you can really do some damage to your metabolism and what will happen is that your body will hold on to whatever calories it is taking in. Your body will work against you. For me, who is a body builder, I have to have AT LEAST 130g of carbs a day. But…

Ladies~ Lets remind ourselves that this is a man who is making this post about breastfeeding. He has no idea what its like to be a MOM and therefore is speaking out of NON experience. So when he squeezes an 8lb kid from HIS Vagina, I'd like to see how he handles it all! HA

Hey guess what? I formula fed both of my kids...both of them are healthy and strong. Personally its not being selfish, its determining what is right for you. The thought of my kid sucking on my boob totally grosses me out. Some moms need to open their eyes.

My first daughter took me a really long time ..I also developed an ED from the Navy (because I had a short amount of time to gt back to weight standards) my second daughter 5 years later, took me about 8 weeks to shed the extra weight. I have kept it off healthy since. For every woman, there is no "right" or "wrong" amount…

Yes we get it..theres no dirty and clean way.. but you know what? he is talking about IIFYM. Not a lot of people understand this way of eating. I actually eat clean...but I also count IIFYM... I also have a lot of IFBB pro friends who would laugh at this "pop tart" way of eating. so yes, if you want to know more about…

When someone comes in with a huge ego..thinks they can lift more than they can handle and BAM Gym Failure!!

I'll ADMIT, I used Shakeology When I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter back in 2010-2011 It offered me extra nutrition (not to lose weight) I then thought it was too expensive...I bought it from a coach who later got really mad at me when I cancelled my account. I then switched to Slim Fast 3-2-1 shakes (for the same…

I was a "skinny-fat" girl weighing in at a sickly 108lbs and being bullimic... I don't suggest going down that road. I am now 128lbs and a body builder (much healthier now)

Awesome Enthusiasm! I'm gonna send you a FR right now =)

Try eating more. Your body is probably holding on to calories and that is why you have plateaued. 1200 is NOT enough for 5-6 days of working out. I'll put money on it that youre really tired and cranky. Seriously, find your maintenance number subtract 500 THAT is the number you should be eating on a daily basis

Instead of using a BB for squats, I would say switch to DB's and drop weight. At least you would still be targeting the same muscle group. You should also google rotator cuff exercises. Thats one of the worst injuries in my opinion. With time, your body needs rest. I wouldn't do any type of exercises that causes more…

so you're telling me that your heart rate doesn't go up while doing Pull moves?? IE Back exercises? Arm exercises?? HMMM thats really interesting because I burn a ton of calories doing these.

^^ main reason why I stopped counting calories a long time ago. I eat according to my macros (IIFYM) hence the reason why my food log is all in red. yes calories are important but if you're not getting enough protein/carbs/fats or your numbers are all jacked up, then you're actually not improving your results on weight…

Being honest, body fat is one of the hardest things to lose. If you skip a day of weight training it is fine. But don't go longer than 3 days or you will see a decrease in strength. You can also mix up your lifting by doing lighter weights with more reps. Endurance training is great when you don't feel like lifting heavy.…

The 1200 calorie plan is way too low in my opinion. You need to eat according to your personalized age/weight/height. You're probably not eating enough calories. yes it is true, that if you increase calories you CAN lose weight. I would suggest finding something makes you feel great, stick with it for 2-3 weeks. You won't…

when it comes to calories on strength training..you almost have to wear a HRM and just log it as "cardio" I have learned this. On an hour long session of weights, you should have your heart rate up high enough to burn a good amount of cals. I tried doing this the same way with logging reps, but in reality, logging it as…

^^This is absolutely true =) Well said!

ALWAYS update every 5-10 pounds lost. Or you will be eating too many calories and it will cause you to plateau.
-
I'm 5`4 128 right now and I wear a size 3. There really is no "right weight " on a person. it depends on body fat as well as how much muscle you are carrying. I was once 108lbs and I was sick..I'd rather be at a healthy weight so that when people look at me, they know I eat. I wouldn't worry too much about what the number…

^^Listen to miss Susieoj!! Shes right on point =)

You could be either eating too little or too much. Are you eating at a healthy calorie range while burning enough calories? I personally wouldn't recommend Insanity as your program. It is hard on the knees and cannot really be modified to fit your fitness level. If you are still nursing your 20 month old, that could be…

This happens to me a lot... I kind of guess but its so great when the nutrition is available. Always watching myself =) Good job!!

Thanks Tony =)

I don't weigh myself but once a week.. I go by pictures and measurements for the most part. I have actually gained about 10 pounds since working out and eating right. I don't want to live my life by a number on a scale. I think its a silly invention. So yes, I would totally toss that thing out!
