I'm highly insulin resistant (among other problems). I'm not sure my body produces much of anything.

Coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil (use virgin on salads and regular for cooking), and grass fed butter. Canola, soy, and peanut oil are really bad for you, especially when heated.

We use this recipe for stuffing. It's so good, I totally eat the leftovers of it for breakfast on Black Friday! http://www.primalpalate.com/recipe/pork-stuffing/

I don't care what suit you're wearing as long you're wearing one. If I'm swimming laps at a pool, I'm there to WORK, not check out your junk.

Thanksgiving is probably the easiest holiday to make keto. I mean you're eating a 20 lb bird for Pilgrim's sake! Here's what we usually have: Turkey Veggie platter Mashed cauliflower Roast root veggies Olives & pickles dates stuffed with mascarpone & pecans (instead of pie). You could also mix the mascarpone with other…

Eh? Totally confused. Scones are crispy. Biscuits are soft. Cookies are chewy.

Agree with xxghost. Cookie is sweet. Biscuit is savory (usually served with supper as a transportation device for butter or to sop up gravy or any remaining stew juice). This is a scone:

Bacon & eggs :D

Add more healthy fat to your diet, especially coconut products (coconut oil, coconut butter, coconut milk). Coconut has a fascinating ability to cleanse and make you poop!

My health insurance pays me to go to the gym! We got a 2 year deal from Costco for 24 Hour Fitness, which breaks down to about $14/mo, and our insurance reimburses us $20 when you go 12 times in a month :)

Jay Robb has an egg based protein, and you can always do almond or coconut milk :)

Sounds like it's rest day, complete with spa treatment! When I'm super sore, I still go to the gym, but it's to sit in the hot tub and soak my achin' bones :)

I've been known to say "Dirty, sexy bacon." does that count? I don't think I could talk dirty to anyone (not even hubs. It just sounds so lame). "Pie. It fills the cracks of the heart. Go away pain..." -- Paul Blart: Mall Cop

vivaldirules, you're missing that sat fats are good for you and coconut oil is rich with MCTs, and Lauric acid (the same amazing stuff in breastmilk, and we know how awesome that stuff is!)

heck to the yeah and hey to the yay! Coconut oil is awesome. Eat some, cook with it, rub it all over yourself.

As a T1.5 diabetic, I find eating a diet rich in healthy fats (avocado, coconut, etc) helps keep my blood sugar stable. Drop your carbs a bit, add more fat and protein.

I'm diabetic, and last year before I got pregnant, I was averaging 25g-50g per day and I was drug free (no insulin or metformin). When I got pregnant, I stayed at 50g until I was put on insulin in 2nd trimester. When baby was born I went to 100g for breastfeeding. When she weans, I'll pop back down to 50g-75g

I love using it as a bun. It makes a good mini pizza crust, too!

halibut, cod, and tilapia are all great starter fish. I have a fish tutorial on my blog for anyone interested http://theprimaljunkfoodie.blogspot.com/2011/10/fast-n-furious-fish.html

this also! We stopped by whole foods before checking in to our hotel and kept all sorts of yummy stuff in our room fridge for lunches. It was nice to come back in the middle of the day to crash and recharge

can't miss with fruit & turkey legs! when we went, we didn't have the dining plan, so we packed snack bars (kind bars, larabars, gobites.com packs) in our camelback backpack. We took electrolyte tablets with us, too (Nuun) and put those in after we got into the park. Ice and water is free, so we were well hydrated all day…

tamishumate has been on the today show (I think) for her amazing weight loss, and Amy_B was in a magazine for hers. Does that count? It makes them MFP celebrities

Start by eating your TDEE and see how your weight does. If it seems stable, cut 300-400 cals. Eat that anount until you hit a hard plateau. Reassess your TDEE then and repeat the process.

1 avocado, juice of 1 lime, cilantro, olive oil. Mash & eat!

Avoid processed foods. If it came from the earth or had a mom, eat it :)

I think they're wonderful. My ACL problems went away with them and I set a PR in the first race I wore them in, so you decide. They're super comfy. I never want to go back to regular shoes. I have 4 pairs of vibrams-- 2 komodos, 1 kso trek sport, and 1 bormio. I run in the komodos (and I've done half marathons in them, so…
