I'm diabetic too. Make sure you're replacing those reduced carbs with healthy fats. Not only will they help you meet your daily cal requirements, but fat can help slow insulin spikes as well.

Exercise! Just getting out for a walk and taking in some natural Vitamin D on a regular basis can help. Also eating right (cut out all the processed garbage. Return to a natural, whole foods diet like paleo/primal). Also make sure he gets his thyroid checked, cuz that can be a huge factor in the whole hormonal imbalance…

chia is fun to play with! You can make tapioca and all sorts of pudding with it. It makes you feel full because it absorbs any fluid you throw at it, thus filling your belly like a sponge. Spectrum makes an awesome chia chocolate coconut blend that is fantastic in smoothies.

There's a whole foods market about 10 mins away from Disneyland in Tustin. When we went to D-Land, we stopped at Whole Foods beforehand and got groceries to keep in our room to help cut down on food costs and stay healthy :) http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/tustin

I just want to be the weight I was 2 years ago (169 after dropping 80 lbs with the help of MFP-- I put a good deal of it back on), when I thought I was still fat!

None of those options seem fair to your cat. How bout teaching your 14 mo old to leave it alone? He's already learned that kitty = owies, so it shouldn't be hard

healthy fat! avocados, coconut oil, grass fed cream, raw cheese, grass fed butter, etc. Make a fat bomb. They're pretty friggin' tasty. http://wifezillasway.blogspot.com/2012/01/abi-faes-fat-bombs.html

Justin's chocolate hazelnut butter instead of Nutella

if you go low carb, you'll need to increase your protein and healthy fat intake. I ate 115g carbs the other day and was over 3000 cals. Usually I can hit 2000 cals and stay under 100g carbs

Just cut out processed foods and the rest should take care of itself. Eat lots of veggies, meat, and healthy fats like avocados, coconut, and grass fed butter.

when I had physical therapy for a "clacking" noise in my knees, the doctor said it was from weak ligaments. They weren't strong enough to hold the knee cap in place, so they would stretch and snap against the bones, creating the sound. When I was in racing shape last year, I didn't make a sound. My joints & muscles &…

Perfect Foods Bar (especially if you are a peanut butter addict). All natural (no, really, it's like a superhero larabar!), tastes fantastic, is low net carb, and reasonable amount of protein. http://perfectfoodbar.com/

did you try roasting them with bacon and parmesan? It's a game changer!

Arctic Zero "ice cream" They took all the happy out. Eat Talenti Gelato or Haagen Dasz 5 instead!

None. I don't even like taking my clothes off to shower.

Forced? LOL. I love Red Robin, but I follow a low carb high protein/fat lifestyle, so I always get a lettuce wrapped monster bleu ribbon burger with extra chipotle mayo on the side and no steak sauce.

I'm PCOS, T1.5 diabetic, and have thyroid issues. I'm primal/paleo and it's helped alot with blood sugar and keeping my cycles regular

I dropped 20 lbs within a week after delivery. The next 10 came off the week after that. Still working on the last 10 lbs but my diet is not as awesome as it was the first 3 weeks after birth. You can tell I've been naughty with food when my poor EBF baby has an acne breakout the next day lol ETA: even though I haven't…

If you love Nutella, you might like Justin's chocolate hazelnut butter. I think it's pretty good (and the ingredient list is shorter/more natural) Peanut Butter & Co's stuff holds a special place in my home as well :)
-
Yup. Read yourself the book "Go the F* to Sleep" lol.
-
Only if it's not Peanut Butter & Co or Justin's Nut Butters LOL (I love that stuff!)

obliterate in blender until they turn into soft serve ice cream!

I like just the general ones that get you moving. Kinect Adventures, the sports one... I'd recommend biggest loser, but I've only tried the 10 min demo.

We got rid of cable. We have Netflix and Hulu now, but... eh. *shrug* I watched it until I discovered the paleo life and everything on the BL suddenly became conventional wisdom rubbish.

definitely stick to clean eating if you can! Whole foods are always better than processed. I just like protein powder for the convenience. Some mornings I'm hungry, but just not ready to look at food and I need to get out the door for the day.
-
Sludge is one of my favorite treats! Plain Greek yogurt + chocolate protein powder + peanut butter.

Food is fuel, man. Right now you're building a ferrari (your new bod). Are you gonna put the best fuel in it you can afford (clean eating) or are you gonna get the watered down junk from the corner?
