I follow the IIFYM Women Facebook page and the response given on there is that we should try to get within +/- 5 grams on any of the macros but is most important to hit your protein and fat. If you are on Facebook, I would recommend following them. A lot of good information.

So happy to see this topic!! I did The Challenge work out last night and I couldn't do any regular push ups. I kinda expected there to to be one person in the video doing push ups from the knees to show us to how to progress to regular push ups. I also bought the pull up bar with the Assist mechanism and can't do any pull…

I am getting ready to start P90X3 and just went through the guidelines tonight. The nutrition guidelines seem okay except for the calorie recommendations. It is recommending that I have 2100 calories. According to my Fitbit, I burn on average 2100 calories (or less). I can't imagine that I will get anywhere (losing weight)…

I have both and love both! Use my the Polar for exercise (running, elliptical, cycle class) and then the Fitbit overall use. As mentioned, the Polar only really works for cardio type activity. The fit bit comes close to the calories burned if i am running/walking but most other activities the Polar will be more accurate. I…

It takes into account your 500 calorie deficit. You have 306 calories left until you get to your 500 calorie deficit. If you eat more than 306 calories you will have less than a 500 calorie deficit. It will change throughout the day though depending on how active you are. Most of my activity during the week is after work.

I don't know what everyone else is doing, but I just left my macros the same. You won't be eating the same every day so it is hard to set an exact goal and have it work. I just know on my low carb days, there will be a lot of carbs left over and on the carb days, the carbs will be in the negative. It doesn't bother me to…

I am using my week 5 as my slingshot week because I knew I would be in a couple situations last week (instead of just one day) where I wouldn't be eating on point. I am hoping after this week and I start back up with the turbo cycle next week that the weight will start coming off again.

I have the Polar FT7 and the work out machine is never exactly what the heart rate monitor says. I would say most of the time my heart rate monitor shows that I burn more than the machine is telling me but way less than the estimates that MyFitnessPal gives you for doing the same activity for the same length of time.

I am going through reset so am eating at TDEE. I log my exercise because I like to keep track of it. I just know I don't eat those calories back and stick to my TDEE. The only thing I caution you about is that it messes up the macros. It will bump up the protein it says you need, carbs, etc. I just remember to try to stick…

I started reset about a month ago and was originally planning on going for about 6 weeks before starting to cut (I have a vacation planned in October and I want to start trying to lose weight, but this is also long term thing not a diet, so I may extend it a couple weeks). It has been a weird and good experience. I feel…

I have the Polar FT7. It's pretty simple to set up and use. One of my best purchases! The calculators on machines or on myfitnesspal are not accurate for me at all.

It usually stands for "non scale victory."

I agree. I feel the opposite. WW pushes you to healthier, whole foods, not processed foods. It is more points for processed, less nutritious foods. Cup of brown rice or some sugary cereal where you will be hungry soon. If you want to get the most bang for your buck, you find that you can eat more food and stay within you…

I use Weight Watchers online and just started using MFP because I was curious how many calories I was eating. My feeling is that Weight Watchers pushes you to towards healthier foods. It's more points for something that has no nutritional value, 0 points for fruits and most veggies. It works if you work it and track your…
