^^ I can't figure out how to quote two at once, but the two above me ... This is where it comes down to HOW you want to use the monitor and WHAT you want it for. For ONLY the elliptical and you don't care about the rest of the day, I'd go a HR strap. For me, I want my full TDEE and all my steps. Not just specific runs,…

The last thing, promise ... I enter food into MFP and activity into FitBit. and let the two programs sync and calculate as they will. FitBits food database is not great and often tells youto eat less than 1200 calories and MFP is known to over state the calories burned while working out. I just let each program do what…

They're getting ready to come out with the Blaze. Does what the Surge does. maybe a bit more, but the bands can be changed, so it at least looks a little better

One thing, if you do get one, down load the DriveBit app. I turn that on whenever I am in a car/bus/plane as a driver or passenger (you can change it). It automatically changes any steps during that time into a "driving activity" and logs it as such. Otherwise I'd have 25,000 steps a day since i drive a manual up and down…

denial just makes me want it more. I either let myself have a lit little bit of everything I crave, or have a lot of ONE thing.

I am now 49, but I had my best smoking hot, low body fat% body of my ENTIRE life at 40. I am aiming to get back there. My primary exercise was Pilates and sail boat racing 3x a week ETA: I started that journey at 39. I was not in such great shape before that. I am 5'6" and I think I started out at 158 ish? by the time I…

I love my FitBit. i had the One for two years and after it went through the wash I got the Charge HR. I think it depends on "you" as to whether or not it's worth it. I'm a data person and I don't like to "lose". If I have 500 steps left at 11:45 PM, I am walking around the house to get them. I also find myself parking…

We were also told by the vet that exercise in any temps above 25C (77F) can start to cause heat problems for dogs. So when it's 30 C at 5 AM, yeah my 64 kgs dogs don't get a walk that day.

My big ole baby girl had figured out that, while I'm doing 100's, if she lies very close to me and is on her back, she can get 100 belly rubs. My big boy (64 kgs) just like to sit on whatever is on the floor. No pilates/yoga happening with him around.

There is a low carb daily group. Lots of support there

43 F or 43 C? I grew up in MI and lived in DC. I would love nothing more to be in 43F. Last night at 17:00 the feel like temp was still 39C (102.2F) There is a 3ish hour block of time that I don't remember at all from yesterday. FitBit shows I was not napping.

Australia. Trying to not throw up/passout/die from heat exhaustion. There will be no exercise happening for awhile.

I just enter all food in MFP and all activities into FitBit. Play on each programs strengths.

Of course, but if she is using a US vs and UK recipe, the amount of fluid necessary will change. A US recipe requires 237 ml of fluid and a UK/Aussie recipe requires 250 ml. Same with TBSP. A US TBSP is 15 ml (3 tsp) and an Aussie is 20 ml (4 tsp).

I don't know where you are, but down here it's 250

It takes a few days to adjust to you and give "accurate to you" readings. The fitbit group here has a wonderful stickied FAQs section

My Dexa scan and my Aria scale were within 1% of each other.

It looks like it's 1 tsp of Great value Sugar in the 20 oz size.

I'm not a big bread maker, but I believe in this case you need the sugar to feed the yeast and get it going.

The prices are high because the wages are high (min wage is $15ish and then there is a designation of "casual" that is in between min and Part Time. They make $22ish/hr All set by the Gov't. Employers have no say until you get to salary positions). Add in then employers pay 9-12% of the employees pay into the AUS…

For "combo dishes, like stew, soups, fried rice etc What I do is enter all the ingredients, raw weight. Cook it Weigh the whole finished product, so say 750g. Then I enter 750 for the number of servings When I serve it, I just weigh the portion I'm having and enter that for the "amount" so it would say somehting like 132…

OH, I would gain so much weight living in NOLA. Oh yes, that would not do at all ...

This is what happens when there is no water for crops so farmers have to buy it and the labour prices to harvest it are insane. Two years (?) ago, it was an excellent harvest year. But farmers were letting food rot in the fields to keep the prices high enough to cover costs. If they had harvested and sold what they had…

Affordable fresh food is not always a thing here. Right now a head of lettuce is over $4.00. Strawberries are $7.98 for 250g. Caged eggs are $3.00+ , range free eggs can be up to $8.00 a dozen

I moved to Australia. Not too much difference in food culture. Just a few new additions and a few "uh, OK" entries. Big adjustment was limited Mexican ingredients (I would LOVE chipoltes) and missing a few held dear American products. But by far the biggest adjustment was the price. I cook at home because I refuse to pay…

Every once in a while lettuce will pop up to $4.98 a head. We don't have salads that week. The weeks that limes are $19.98 AUD a kg, yeah Lime chicken is no longer on the menu. My phone and Pinterest have been a huge help in this. Even though I have a list I can change recipes on the fly if ingredients are too $$$ that week

I always carried almonds with me. When I got a "oral" craving I just ate those. good fats, lo-carbs enough protein and they take time to chew.

Can she go stay with Grandma for a week?

We used Champix and quit at the same time. Eating wasn't an issue because we were both nauseous from the meds for the first few weeks As for irritability, yeah there was no controlling that. We pretty much didn't say a word to each other for the better part of 2-3 weeks.
