Thank you for starting this again for September. I joined the challenge in early August, but didn't really do well. Too much stress and life happened (yes, an excuse) but I've recommited for September. My last glass of wine was 4 days ago, and so far, I'm not even tempted. I'm very motivated to remain "dry" through…

I'm currently doing Chalean Extreme, and I'm loving it! I feel a lot stronger already. The workouts are completely doable and fun, fun, fun!

Make sure you have reliable internet connection and speed. Even though I live in a large metro area and supposedly have fast internet, my connection and speed can be iffy on weekends and at certain times of day. Other than that, I know people who subscribe to BBOD and love it!

I'm currently doing Chalean Extreme program and I'm loving it! I'm starting week 4 on Monday. Most workouts are 30-46min long and are FUN! You can see plenty of reviews on youtube as well as sample of workouts. I am already feeling stronger and fitter. I've been exercising and doing something or other most of my life, so…

Look up beginners weight lifting videos and tips on youtube. Tons of free workouts and advice there.

I've also failed, but I too, find a lot of inspiration in reading everyone's comments. No wine for me yesterday, and I'll go for day 2 today. Interesting comments about boredom. I think there may be something in it in my case too even though I work but I'm winding it down. I used to take classes throughout my life, and…

Overweight. :(

Don't think of being active and moving as "exercise". Find an activity you DO like (walking, dancing, yoga) and do it every day consistently. You'll be amazed how good and alive it makes you feel.

I just saw this thread so I'm starting a little late, but I'd like to join you. I tend to overdo on wine. I didn't have any wine yesterday and don't plan to have any today and hopefully until Sep 4. We'll see how that goes. Thank you for starting this thread!

No, there isn't. This is totally up to a person and whether they're morning person or a night owl. I happen to have lots of energy in the morning and none in the evening. My regular, workouts are usually done by 7am, and I will only occasionaly do some extra stretching or yoga in the evening - if I feel like it.

If you crave fried chicken, have some and log it. Just don't have it every day.

I remember when BB used to give you calorie burn for their "systems". They were grossly exaggarated to the point of being useless. I seem to remember that they claimed 1000 calorie burn for one of their Turbo Fire workouts. How did they even come up with that? As you state, heart rate monitors are not good for weights,…

Calorie burn depends on your weight, and how intense you work out. Two hundred pound person working hard will burn totally different number of calories vs. 100 lbs person who "phones it in".

Please add me. I need it!

Very good idea. Consistency is what I'm lacking. Please add me.

So what? Today is the 7th and it's a new day and new beginning. Move on now!

I like this!

:) :) :)

Good luck! I'm looking forward to reading about your progress and results.

Those that have done Piyo consistently or have completed either of the rotations that came with the system, what results have you seen? I purchased it when it first came out few years ago, have done each DVD once, but have never done it consistently. You know....too many other workouts, too little time. :)

He's not going to change, so you have 2 options: ignore him and don't let his ignorant comments bother you, or find a way to move out. You father feels free to be verbally abusive to you because he thinks that you are at his mercy and totally dependent on him by living in his house. Prove him otherwise and move out, before…

5'6 and my goal is 150. I'm medium frame but I've been working out most of my life and I have some muscles on me. I feel and look the best at 150. Currently I'm 184. I've got a lot of work ahead of me.

Thank you!
-
Nice job! Keep going and don't get discouraged if you don't show the same weight loss in the next 5 days.
-
Thank you for the replies! I thought it's meant to be dry but was I never sure. I will also check our servings per package.
-
Oh, and the nutritional label doesn't indicate whether they mean dry or cooked - otherwise I wouldn't be asking! :)

If you think that cardio is boring, then you haven't found the right "cardio" for YOU! I do a mix of cardio, pilates, yoga and strength training every week, and it's a trial-and-error typ of thing. Look for "cardio" you enjoy and you'll stick with it.

This. I successfully quit smoking years ago, and since I didn't substitute eating for smoking, I not only didn't gain any weight, I lost about 10 lbs. Good luck to you! Quit smoking.

Congratulations! You look great! My stats now are exactly where you were at the beginning. You have inspired and motivated me to finally get off my butt and start logging everything. I'm already good with regular workouts and have always been, but weighing and logging food is another matter. Thank you for motivating me…
