Thanks all....I think that last post is the thing I'm worried about. I'm going to continue to try and up my protein to meet my macros min.

Thanks!

Way to go! You are such an inspiration! I am also trying to get to Onederland although I have about 18 lbs to go, not 2 sadly :(. Can I ask how many calories you were eating, and what your workout schedule looked like? Thanks!

Yes to the food scale being eye opening.....especially with Peanut Butter! A measured tablespoon of PB is NOT 16g, i assure you.

1 - I admit I do not own a food scale, but I do measure everything I can. However, I also did not own a food scale when I lost the 34 lbs on WW either so...... 2 - YES, everything. I made sure to be very diligent about my tracking the multiple times I tried to make WW work for me again. Thanks

Thank you SO much! This is really really helpful information. I am trying out the EM2WL thing and eating at my scooby calc TDEE and have gained 4 lbs so far (been doing it for a month now) and I know some of that is glycogen restoration, but I'm going to do it another week or so and if i keep gaining, I'll drop down 100,…

Sorry, a few more questions: 1. How long do you suggest eating at a certain cal level before determining that you are losing weight at this cal level or not and it's time to switch it up? 2. Do you think taking a break from a deficit every 6 to 8 weeks, for say, a week, is a good idea? Does it help your body to NOT adjust…

OK...so based on your answer to my last question, could you confirm the following: 1. Do you think eating below your BMR could cause your metabolism to slow down? 2. Do you believe in metabolism resets? 3. Did you ever eat under your BMR? Thanks!

I haven't gone through all of this yet, but I do have a question: What was your daily calorie intake while losing weight. Did you use the TDEE/ BMR calculators to figure what cals you should eat or did you go off what MFP told you to eat to lose a certain amount of weight each week? I lost 34 lbs on WW (eating about 1400…

I could NOT eat 2500 cals yesterday....I just couldn't do it. It was the end of the night and I still had 300 more cals to go and I was so full...I just couldn't do it. Today I started my day off with a spoonful of PB and a glass of milk so I don't get to the end of the day with so many cals left to consume! PS - it's that…

I just started my "reset" on Friday and am eating 2300-2400 cals a day. I have been slowly working up to this number from the 1400 cals a day I was eating on WW (that stopped working after a year, followed by a year long plateau). I have gained 3 lbs and some change so far, which isn't too bad and I knew what to expect…

On WW I was eating 1400-1500 cals...not eating back my exercise cals at all. I haven't done by BF % yet, but will be getting it measured on Monday at my gym. Then I will do the Katch calculation. I figured my TDEE was inflated because I was eating under my BMR for 2 years which is why I'm not eating at my TDEE, I'm eating…

Hi All, I'm 3 weeks in to eating TDEE-20%. Before this I had lost 34 lbs on WW in the first 9 months, but then it stopped, and no matter what I did, I couldn't not lose one more pound. I upped my workout days, measured and weighed everything, played with eating more of my weekly points, less of my weekly points, eating…

You look amazing, way to go!

Thank you so much! I am going to try it this way for the next month and see what happens

Yup these are the same ones I read when someone in my other thread mentioned that I do a search on eating exercise cals. I am going to start doing that this week and I hope it helps!

Question for you...I just started my weight loss journey on here (it's been an ongoing battle all my life). But I'm not having a lot of sucess and was wondering if it could be because I'm not eating my exercise cals. Could you tell us how you did lose the weight? What was your weekly goal and did you eat your exercise…
-
OK, so I took your suggestions and went to read the "newbie" stickies and some posts from Banks. 2 thing I have learned is that A: I can change my goal to 2 lbs. a week because I have a high BMI. B: I have been under my cal goal every day almost and didn't lose a pound, and this must mean I need to be eating my exercise…

My activity level is set for "sedentary" as I work at a computer most of the day. But I have a busy lifestyle outside of that. And I have my goal set to 1.5 lbs loss a week and I can eat 1500 cals, but when I input my exercise, I am usually way under that, by 200-300 cals. And I do input my cals for machine work according…

Hey thanks everyone! I am going to go with the standard here and say about 1 tbs.

Hi I'm a 32 year old mom of 1 and I would like to lose about 30 lbs as well. I have struggled with my weight my whole life but in the past 10 years have been eating healthy (just too much, like you). And although I don't drink much, I do have a mean sweet tooth. I am very active, go to the gym about 4 times a week and walk…

Thank you to everyone for your replies! I really think for me, it is about counting cals and tracking what food I'm eating, AND how much of it, daily. The exercise thing, I do switch it up frequently, attend various classes, do different resistant training, etc. So I think it's all about food for me. I actually do have a…
