Really fresh, peak of season veggies/fruits are the most nutritious, followed closely by fresh and fresh frozen. Canned are the least nutritious, generally.

Drink some extra water, do some extra exercise and the sugar headache should feel much better, and it'll help even out the over indulgence. It's one day. Be easy on yourself. Start over tomorrow.

Nursing uses about 500 calories a day. it sounds like you were restricting your calories too much. Use the calculator to figure out what you should be eating to loose one pound a week. Then ADD 500 calories for the baby, Then, EAT BACK any exercise calories. Then make good healthy choices about your food, eat five or six…

Moderation is the key. You don't need to eliminate anything. I try to make better choices- whole grains vs. white, more fresh veggies (they are all good), two fruits a day, less added sugar/salt chemicals/lean proteins vs. fatty proteins, water as first choice for beverage. But if there is something I want to have, I work…

And Bluetrader2, you didn't mention ANY protein in your example- that's kind of worrisome- no wonder you you are having trouble reaching 1200 calories. Read the link in the previous post, both of you. It will help clarify things.

I weigh daily, record when I loose. Weighing daily helps keep me focused and motivated.

I eat three meals a day plus a two or three snacks. I end up eating about every two to three hours until dinner. I'm usually done at dinner. Small meals, small snacks. But this way, when I start feeling hungry, it's usually time to eat something, and it takes the edge off. I don't feel deprived or starving that way.

I've cut way, way back on added sugars. Way back. But I haven't eliminated anything. Just making much healthier choices. Tracking everything helps me stay conscious of my choices, so it's easier to make good ones.

Like tracydroberts, I'm calling it my last "fat face" picture. Taken about a week before I decided to do something about how heavy I have gotten. I had just eaten a plate full of churros covered in carmel sauce at El Torritos Sunday Buffet. No more of that for me!

I suffered a pretty serious concussion about 11 years ago. Serious as in I had to take a year off work to recover, and even now, I am still affected by it in some major ways. The damage from concussions is cumulative. Yes, I wear a bike helmet, now that I can ride a bike again. For several years after the concussion (not…

What does eating clean mean? I haven't been around here too long.

A friend said you should get help. Several people here said you should get help. You have a history of an eating disorder. Get help. Don't wait.

If all the lifting is causing so much pain, why are you continuing to do it? Walking is my main exercise, and bike riding. I have a few chronic injuries that limit what I can do, but I have figured out what works for me with out aggravating things. Strangely enough, and maybe others have experience with this, but I have…

Like others have said, protein as a significant part of breakfast, and lunch, helps me. I've also learned I really need to eat something about every two to three hours. Otherwise I overeat at meals. It's easier to eat less over all if I eat more frequently. I try to think about what I'm going to be eating all day and them…

I'm not 18 any more, but I used to be. I was about 5'6" and 135 lbs. at that time. It was a good healthy weight for me. I am big boned and curvy. If you are smaller boned and more slightly built, less could work for you.

How much water are you drinking? With that much of a work out you are going to need to be sure to stay very hydrated. Dehydration can make you feel very sick.

Depending on the pill you are on, it can be very normal to have almost no flow. I think only time will tell if you still have the monthly water retention. Your body will adjust to the pill over the next several months.

Make sure you are eating enough calories for breastfeeding (+500 per day is the usual recommendation) and drink lots and lots and lots of water. So, calculate what you should be consuming for you, then add 500 calories to that. Also, babies usually have a growth spurt at about 12 weeks and you may need to let him/her nurse…
