  • Hi madeline. I would love to be part of the Nov group. I only started in Sept, and I still have a long way to go. Coolness!
  • Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Just barely - lucky for the exercise cals :grumble: Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Hit the bike although I was feeling so lazy  What would I have done differently? I would not have succumbed to temptation. McD…
  • Nutrilite Double X gives a real boost of energy - take it twice a day if you are very active/athlete. Otherwise, once a day will suffice. Take it with a good breakfast :)

  • I keep a 1liter bottle water with me, and try to consume 2-3 bottles before i get off work. When at home, usually after my workout, I can easily down another litre or so ... I guess, just keep a bottle of water with you wherever you go :drinker:
  • hi brenda, i know exactly what you mean and how you feel. after 2 months of abstinance from sugar foods, i succumbed to the temptation last night. Not 1, not 2, but I had 7 snack bars (2 fingers each) of Nestle Kitkat chocs! That totalled to 600+ cals! :noway: First i told myself, i earned a bar, then i reached out for…

  • I recall hearing a remark from a total stranger when i passed them by " she's a pretty face, too bad for the body though" .... hmmph! society is enough to make us depressed, let alone looking at those glossy expensive magazines and all you see are skinny models flaunting away their body. rational tells me i should not be…
  • haha, I am obsessed too ... i can't wait to log my food and exercise diaries!

  • A note to ponder on TBL show, each contestant has a special exercise regime catered for their body. You say you have back aches. Do be careful on embarking on an exercise regime. We want to be able to heal and not aggravate the situation. I too suffer from nerve pinches and had a slip disc a couple of years back. Suffice…
  • urgh! yuckiness!!! sorry you had to experience that!
  • Wow, congrats June starters! You are an inspiration to us all :)
  • You should also try sunflower seeds, they are super healthy! Either incorporate it into your salads, blend it with Avocado for dressing, or simply snack on it! See below :) Sunflower seeds can be essential to a healthy diet. They contain many vitamins and minerals and poly and monounsaturated fats. Approximately 90 percent…
  • well, you could eat your exercise calories :) my recommended cal intake is 1250 a day. Most of the time, i will surpass this, but I ensure i exercise to gain the extra calories I could use, and usually i will have excess cals not eaten up :)
  • I want in .... aiming for 12lbs loss in 6 weeks. Wohoo, I am sooo excited!!
  • everyone here on MFP are so generous and give lots of encouragement. I log in everyday just to get some imspiration. thanks so much to MFP family!
  • Hmm, I wish I could get one of those too ... although I have only 1 child, I have lots of fat and excess skin hanging down my belly :( I am hoping by working on my dual bike daily will kick start the body to burn fats, but I am still in a lookout for exercises/workouts which targets the belly down .... Anyway, good luck…
  • From what i have learnt watching the Biggest Loser is that you gotta have a balance of protein, carbs and fat. Can't have a diet without the combination. Use the food charter to calculate the recommended amounts to guide you. Some days, I do surpass the fat or carb or protein intake, but if you do, make sure you make some…
  • What's the calorie count for this recipe?
  • you can try any non-caffeinated tea such as peppermint or green tea. I actually mix my drinking water with lemon and hibiscus tea powder (from Herbalife). Helps me to gulp down at least 80oz (10 glasses a day) with ease.
  • haha, funny bubble gut :o) if you want to clean your colon, you can try wheatgrass powder! it works wonders too ...
  • Hi, it's the same for me, it seems that I not eat all my exercise calories, i am under for the carb and fat intake, but over for protein. My doctor says its ok, as long as I dont' have any uric acid problems (this is caused by high increase of protein). just do a blood test, and let the doctor advise you. Show him your…
  • Also, do check the maximum weight these machines can hold. I had bought the dual action stationery bike which costs over 400 bucks as i needed a heavy duty one which would hold a max weight of 113kgs! I had noted the cheaper ones have lower max weight.
  • hmm, i notice that i feel hungry when my mind (and hands) are idle. so i try to keep myself busy with something (house chores, washing the car, working on family scrapbooks, etc). when one is busy, one does not think too much about food :) It helped me, maybe it'll help you?
