If you haven't been on your antidepressant for very long, keep taking it and see how you feel after a month or so. If that still fails, look into trying another medication. I've been on 4 different ones (as well as lithium, I'm bipolar) and the 4th one was the one that finally just worked really well with the lithium and…

Only for photo opportunities (like Christmas sweaters @ Christmas time). My old dog, Benji, who died in February, only weighed 6 pounds, so he had a little coat that he wore when I took him out to use the bathroom in winter. It was a necessity for him.

Seeing the number on the scale at 199. That was a year ago and I've only lost about 15 pounds, which doesn't bother me; slow is better than not at all. I just remember not wanting to every see a number over 200.

I don't eat real food. I'm on an all paper diet.
-
This. I am almost 30 and I want to look like a woman, not a little kid.
-
Well, you can do it slowly and healthily and keep the weight off, or you can do it super fast and gain it all back and then some.
-
Have you taken your measurments, or are you using just the number on the scale to gage progress? I highly, highly recommend taking your measurements and tracking your progress that way as well . . . I've had weeks where my weight stays the same or increases a bit but I've lost an inch here or there. You can't get too hung…

A family friend was looking at some old photos one night, saw one of me when I was like 15, and said, "You used to be so skinny, what happened?"
-
Well done! You can definitely see the progress. And have a happy birthday!

If you fasted the day before no wonder you had no control.

1200 calories is NOT A BINGE. And if you only eat 1200 calories and then burn off 600 of them with exercise, you're not doing yourself any favors.
-
Unless your coworker puts a gun to your head and makes you eat the cupcake or forces it down your throat, you don't have to eat it. I mean, I get wanting to vet, but your self control is your own issue. (It has the word SELF right there in the title!) At the end of the day you're the only one responsible for what goes in…

Slap yourself. No one can do this for you. You gained the weight through your own choices, you have to lose it that way too.

As long as you're eating a calorie deficit you'll lose weight. That's what makes you lose weight. As far as the calories you're burning on the treadmill, I would invest in a heart rate monitor, because what the machine estimates can be farily inaccurate.
-
Look into getting a heart rate monitor so you can track the calories you burn during exercise. I've had mine a few months (Polar FT4) and I love it. It comes in really handy for the workouts that aren't in the MFP database.
-
Don't be jealous. In 6 months she'll have gaind everything back and then some.

THIS!!!

Not invisible. Just largely pointless.

Go to youtube and search for butt building workouts . . . I'm sure you'll find something!
-
Awesome progress, good job!!

Personally I prefer the elliptical. I like that it's easier on my knees than running, plus I feel like it's more of a whole body workout, if that makes sense. I like that it makes me move my arms and kind of work my torso as well.
-
Make small changes slowly. That's the best advice I can give you. I tried and failed for a long time until I started doing that.
-
Bad idea. Yes it's approved for treatment of edema (swelling) but it's primarily indicated as a heart medication. So I would absolutely NOT continue taking it without speaking to a doctor first. Your ankle feeling better is 100% not worth future heart complications.

I have found that if I plan in too much detail I end up wanting to eat something that's not going to work for me . . . ie, if I have it in my head that I'm going to eat this, this, and this, and that's just that, I'm going to end up craving McDonalds like mad. So I don't plan too religiously and kind of log as I go. The…

I only read like the first 4 sentences and all I can say is, why is this guy still your boyfriend?
-
I drink coffee every morning, with just a little bit of sugar and some no calorie flavor syrup in it. I used to drink soda every morning but the coffee's got way fewer calories. It's been good for me.
-
I definitely see a difference, especially in the picture from the back . . . awesome progress! Good for you!
-
Good job! And you definitely matched the first picture, I lol'd.

I'm very fond of these ones. They do go in your ear but they're really soft and a little squishy, so they don't hurt. And since they've got the clip they never come off. I've had mine for almost 3 years now and never any issues.…

You should eat your exercise calories back, yes. If you're netting 600 calories a day you'll definitely lose weight and fast, but it's not going to be sustainable. Once you start trying to maintain your body'll freak out and you'll gain it all back. That's what I've seen happen to people I know, anyway. If in a year you've…
