Way to go! Sounds like you are going to enjoy this adventure!

I do not lose on a 1200 calorie diet with my hypothyroid. Trying now to work with my Dr, going to see a dietician in May to try to work out a plan. Dr said I will be increasing fat, protein and eliminating processed food. Trying to find the right combination for my body! Best of luck to you!

You don't have much fat in what is above. A lot of your vitamins are fat soluble so they are not going to absorb with out fat. Maybe cheeses, adding a good olive oil to your salad, avocado is a great choice. What about nuts many have a good balance to add to your diet. Quest bars also seems to be good when you need…

Way to go, you have a great attitude! One day at a time :)

I do tend to chug water a good bit thru the day!! That could be the issue!! I can't drink as much later in the day because I'm in class all evening with limited breaks so I try to compensate and get my fluids early! I'll try paying attention and backing off my water a bit before lifting! Thanks

How are you doing, any better??
-
Hhhmm, hadn't thought about acid reflux. I'll look into it. Never had problems with that before and I haven't had issues while sleeping. Really hoping I get used to it or is goes away!

Your progress is fabulous!! My inspiration of the night!

Wy to go, keep it up! I do that sometimes and just stop adding my calories! Especially if it is at a party or if I have to enter the recipe. Time consuming for me. However when I do log the calories I usually find that it is not as bad as what I was expecting!

When I'm tired! After a few days of crazy schedules and not enough sleep I tend to no care much about what I'm eating. I try to avoid this situation or have shopping and meals preplanned so this doesn't happen often.
-
So terribly sorry! I have nothing to offer to make it better but I'm truly sorry you are suffering!
-
I can relate to much of your post! I've found fitnessblender.com to have so many video options. I try to squeeze in at least a quick exercise session daily!

We all eat mostly the same thing. We all have things we don't like and we try to work around that. My littles don't like lettuce so if we have salad with dinner they will usually just have olives and cheese and cucumbers and not the entire salad mix. One child doesn't like green beans, one doesn't like broccoli so usually…

The thyroid is so complicated! I'm struggling with mine right now too! I need to go for a new blood work up because I can tell mine is out of whack right now too! Exhausted while working out, muscle fatigue, headaches, waking up tired. So sorry you are struggling. No real advice here but you are not alone!

I'm thinking that is a rather BIG success! Congrats!

I'm all for protecting yourself! I know in Massachusetts homeowners have shot people breaking into their homes and have even found guilty for injuring or killing the person breaking in! A lot would probably depend on where you live!

Phenomenal Job! Keep it up!

Quiche and meatballs both going on my list over the next few weeks!

Thanks Paige, very helpful details!

When you freeze food does it reheat well? Potatoes always seem funky when they reheat! Never tried rice r quinoa reheated after frozen, how is that in a soup or casserole?
-
Tuna salad is great as a pre-prepped food too! Grab some cucumber or celery sticks or those flat breads and you are all set for a meal!
-
Grab and go is so helpful! Boiled eggs are super easy, I usually keep these on the fridge door ready to go at any time! Egg muffins are super easy too! Haven't made them in awhile, I'll have to do them up again! My kids like them with crumbled bacon and cheddar in them. Problem is I make a dozen and they are gone in two…

Two of the Protein powders that I'm looking into right now are: Tera's organic Whey Nutiva hemp protein I try to avoid soy as well. Also to many Dr's 3 is considered high. Mine likes to see under 2.

Even if I have a list I usually end up with 5-10 extra items :) walking by and it triggers oh yeah we are out or getting low. I try to have a list as a guide line but always end up with extra!

Don't forget the peanut butter!?? Is this just a snack list? Maybe rice or quinoa?

I take m armour at night before bed. I was told as long as it has been about 3 hours or so since eating that it is fine at night. If I end up having ice cream or something after dinner I usually bring my pill to bed and take it at 2 or 3 when I make a bathroom run! The rest I split up try my day. Seems I've become quite…

Oh yeah, I drag my butt out of bed everyday! It is a little easier when I get over 6 hours but I often wake up so I know I'm not resting well! Takes me about an hour in the morning of just functioning before I'm really starting to wake up :) I thnk with a 75 hour work week you might just be too exhausted to get up…

I had much success awhile back with low carb. Then when I went back to it I wasn't losing. Turns out, I developed a sensitivity to almonds and 15 almonds was a daily snack for me. When I stopped eating them I started losing again. Maybe try with eliminating a regular food for a bit and see if your results are better!

Thanks for all the excellent suggestions! Taurine is what I had heard of previously and could not remember!! I read about it back over the summer but we weren't using protein powder at that time so I didn't pay great attention! I guess this is only an issue for kindergarten in our school. For all the other grades they…
