  • Awesome job, keep it up!
  • Does the BodyMedia require a monthly fee? I remember reviewing a couple of these products and 1 device had a monthly access charge.
  • Create a plan and take charge! Go Girl!
  • Completely Awesome!!
  • Thanks so much for sharing! Truly inspiring!
  • Haven't read this one, might look into it! Thanks!
  • My go to snack is celery with a smear of cream cheese and a slight smear of peanut butter on top. Hits the spot for me! Not sure about AF?? Atrial Fibrillation?
  • What a challenge! The constant battle really doesn't ever seem to end! I am in a similar situation and sometimes cannot believe with the constant effort being put into being healthy how little I get back n return. I haven't been able to lose in a few months. Very discouraging! I try to keep telling myself that I would be…
  • So sorry you are having such a rough time! I think it would be a great idea if you start reading as much as you can and educating yourself. I was just diagnosed with hypothyroid this past year and have been reading ever since. Many doctors are uneducated in these areas. There is a ton of info out there. Stop the Thyroid…
  • I would love to know the reasoning as well?? Showering or not it is important to remove sweaty or damp clothing pretty quickly after completing a workout!
  • I believe Grapeseed is the same as Canola oil.
  • I also read that coffee highly cross-reacts as gluten. Which means that your body may possibly mistake coffee in your system as gluten! How crazy is that!!
  • Thyroid book.com was saying that with hashimotos being auto immune that there are usually food and environmental factors that will cause flares of inflammation and raise antibodies. The top of the list were coffee, tea and gluten. Other things I've read have said nothing about coffee causing reactions.
  • I've never been much of a fan of coffee but I have started drinking it the past 6 months or so. Trying to figure out if I'm doing more harm then good at this point. Like you said though I'm not sure if I could get thru my crazy schedule right now without it!!

  • I have supplemented with vit D and b12 because I was low in both. The b12 gives me energy, I can feel a difference!
  • I'll jump in on this! Been having knee problems but plan to start back and try walking tomorrow!
  • Thanks! I'll look into the book! An upper body routine and core exercises would probably work really well. Haven't done too much of either all summer! I actually went cycling this weekend and that didn't bother my knee at all! I raised my seat just a smidge higher and kept to a route that gave me a couple shorter options…
  • True, I'm not really looking for gains or losses and I understand it will only be a couple weeks. I already walk pretty regular. So I don't think that will help build quad strength. Just trying to figure out a few ways to stay in a routine until I can move forward.
  • Way to go! You are doing great!
  • I'm fairly new to hypothyroid but my cycle usually starts on the 23rd day, so close to 3 weeks. It is pretty clockwork. I am on medication but I'm still running a little hypo but they don't want to increase my dosage too quick. Never thought about that all being connected!
  • Good for you! Start now and take one day at a time!
  • Anyone??
  • This summer I have been making a fresh lemonade and have been using Stevita which is spoon able Stevia. Very refreshing and my kids love it. To me it seems a much better alternative instead of using a packet mix. Other then that we only drink water or unsweetened tea or coffee.
  • Honestly cycling for me doesn't ever get easier. By this time of the year my endurance has usually improved but my legs still feel it every time! I usually try for 1 longer ride a week of 40-60 miles and usually a couple shorter 15 mile loops. On the shorter rides i will usually have a kid on the back of my bike. We live…
  • This weekend I played tennis for a couple hours on Saturday. I'm not used to playing tennis so for me it was a pretty good workout, I was winded and covered in sweat. It also left my hamstrings a bit tight. Sunday I had a 39 mile bike ride, which isn't too bad but I was going against a head wind most of the time and that…
  • No, not the same day, usually one or 2 days before. For some reason my legs always hurt worse the second day!
  • When I had my foot injury I was told to buy the hard soled bike specific shoes. Our spin classes and some of the bikes on the gym floor had a platform for the cycle shoes to click into! That was actually how I started cycling. To start with I wouldn't worry much about speed or distance. It is very different then running. I…
  • Do you have those nifty campfire cookers? You can make individual hot pocket type things in the campfire? They aren't very expensive and I thought thy were a lifesaver! Kids made mini pizzas and quesadilla. I also roasted pears and apples. Used precooked chicken and made fajitas. Lots of ideas as healthy as you want!
  • I take Armour but never took anything before this!
