Totally agree, what you are worried about is called life. Your going to be invited to parties, wedding,etc... no need to stress out or come up with some sort of a game plan just have fun, remember its all about a calorie deficit so size up what they offer and try to fit it into your calorie goal, if you go over a bit its…

Page after page of success stories. You all have done an incredible job and give all of us hope that one day we too will be on this page. Great job everyone

One of my main goals/accomplishments was to stop drinking calories, meaning no more soda etc. When I go to the movies, which maybe 4 or 5 times a year I get a giant cherry Coke, Its kind of like a cheat day.

Im on every day and have a great group of friends, feel free to add me

Agreed! It's all about eating within your calorie deficit.

Yea as the poster above me said good luck with your journey. Add everything, dont hide anything, add supportive friends and you will see how great the tool can be. Also, add the app for map my run it can be used to track anything, hiking, walking, running and you can sync it to MFP both are free and really great motivators.

Nothing the first 4 times I tried it. Once I decided to really focus on it, tracking calories and exercise, weighing food etc it has worked just fine. Down 22 pounds, I use to walk a block now I run 2.5 miles every day. It works but its a tool not a magic pill

Several years ago when I first started I lifted really lite and was self conscious about it. It didn't help that I really didn't know what I was doing and probably looked silly but I went and lifted with the rest of them. After a few weeks people started offering advice and helping I really feel it was they saw I was…

Remember, you didn't put on the weight over night so it does take time to take it off. Lean on your MFP friends, but remember to focus on the positive and make sure you take the time to motivate them as well. You got this :)

Very helpful post, this really helped me gain a better understanding. Would anyone be able to answer a silly question (just a little confused) are the calories set by MFP the recommended deficit. Meaning as long as I am eating at or slightly below the calorie suggestion then I should lose weight correct? leaving out…

I feel your pain, I have the same issue. Single dad 1.5 hour commute both ways. The hardest part is finding time to get a work-out in, between my long drive, work, dinner and dishes I have very little time to myself. I struggled with the concern of not getting enough sleep but finally just decided the value of exercise and…
