when you start with one amount of weight and keep lowering it in the same set until you can't even do 1 anymore. for example do curls with 15lb. dumbells, then when you are tired and cant do much more, drop it down to 12lbs. (no break in between), then 10 etc. until you cant do any more.

i lost most of my friends also who are not interested in being helthy like i am, however i have gained new ones that help me on my journey. It may not be a bad thing to move on and let those "friends" go. in the end, the real ones will step forward and join you :-)

I think that i do better eating more frequently because if i dont, then i am starving by the time a "lunch" or "dinner" time comes around. Perhaps that is why it works better for me. I also am very active, though and I usually am sluggish at the gym if i dont have a snack beforehand so it helps in that way also.

protein powder always upsets my stomach for some reason, but i have found that the designer whey brand is a little better on it.

this...even sugary fruit can cause me to eat more throughout the day so i try to be carefull with it.

i lift really heavy and my leg muscles are not huge. it actually allowed me to burn more fat lifting heavier, so my skinny jeans fit me better even though my muscles got a little bigger. There was more fat down there than I originally thought :-)

I don't use it since it has been shown to cause cancer in Rats. Since i do research and know how similar rats are to humans internally, i don't take any chances.

2+ lbs. of muscle a week is good but very difficult to do. How do you know that it is muscle?

American Eagle sells a jean called the skinny kick and they are a lot better. they are skinny but slightly loosen up at the bottom.

same problem here. i still wear them but have to get the ones that are a little bigger at the waist so they will fit around my calves.

no, i love it and always have. but then again, i started early so i saw the results right away and that helps keep me going. i love being a muscular girl!

i stopped eating out most of the time so I can control my sodium intake, so that helps a lot. also, you have to read labels make certain things yourself instead of using a pre-packaged mix. and make your own soup, it tastes much better anyway!

my ears hurt a lot in the cold when i am running. not sure why but i ran last night and they hurt today.

i find that if i push myself to at least get a little bit of exercise, i get better faster than if i stay at home in bed. if i feel a sickness coming on, i go for a run on the treadmill. it works every time and helps my body fight off the sickness. Obviously, you shouldnt do this if you are really sick though. Only you…

i never drink over 4 glasses a day, but my body never seemed to need 8 glasses, even when i exercise. My urine is clear still so i think i just get most of my water intake from my food. especially salads!
