I over pronate too. I went to running shoe specialists and they fitted me special for a pair of shoes that helped correct how I run. I too am different depending on shoes (which shoes) or barefoot. Good luck with the doc. I hope they're able to get you running again.

About 5-6 years ago I met a friend of a friend that did kettlebells. All I could envision was the cartoons of the old timey looking giant square hunks of metal with a handle so I had to look it up...A few videos in and I was hooked. I bought a 15 and a 20lb bell. The following year for Christmas my husband got me an…

Way to go! You look fabulous and great 'sleeves'.

That hair color is stunning.

I'm happy with my hair and all that. Leaner and more muscular for sure. Maybe down one more jean size. We'll see what the more muscular brings. I'd also like to get my leg sleeve/sock (tattoo) done and maybe get more done on the other one or the feet. Tattoos are always in order. :)

I swim in the summer only at my neighbor's pool usually. I used to have a Y membership but let it lapse as there is only so much time and driving 20 minutes to get to a pool is 20 minutes I could be running instead. Going with the flow of the seasons.

If you're into Ashtanga I just found MP3's for a voice led class http://www.ashtangayoga.info/practice/led-class-mp3/

I think of myself as an Ashtangi though rarely think of myself as an athlete.

Hips and hamstrings could still use improvement but I can see/feel them improving. It's the shoulders that I just can't see or feel improvement in. They feel stagnant and stiff.

I never thought about making a goal pose. My practice has been interesting. When my practice is good, I advance in leaps and when it's not...well, we all know how that is. In my practice this morning I was thinking of setting up a private lesson to help me with my shoulders. They're stiff and I have troubles making my arms…

Art school drop out as well but I was a professional potter for a while and am now a fiber artist.

I'm so sorry about your mom. I'm glad you're taking the bull by the horns and taking care of you. We're all here together and holler any time you need support. You can do this!

This is the same for me. I dont' eat white sugar either anymore and try to avoid most processed sugars too. Also if I eat too much fruit, I will have bad effects. I can only eat it in tiny portions and not every day. So far, I'm not on meds but some days it really is a bummer to not eat what the rest of my family is.

There is this: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifestyle/11-benefits-of-green-tea-that-you-didnt-know-about.html But it's also tasty, good for your metabolism, and for me anyway, it makes me feel fuller. Yeah, I know, the same as drinking water. I drink water but the "full" I feel from tea is different (if that explains…

I was diagnosed with this about 8 years ago. I ovulate like a champ supposedly, but all the other stuff....yeah. Never had a regular period, weight gain, hair (oh god, the hair).... I am thankful to the diagnosis, though. It explained so much and made me feel like I wasn't nuts because of all the symptoms that no one else…

wow! That's a huge transformation! Way to go!

I could go months without weighing in. I just joined MFP with the goal of trying to lose some weight instead of just getting in shape so I'm not sure what I'll do....I'm going to try to weigh in and record every 2 wks.

I attempt to get up earlier. This used to work all the time. Now it's about 3-4 times a week that I can actually make it up early enough to get something done. Even if I'm doing good, I will do some exercises at my desk. Squats, desk pushups, walking in place....things like that. I do HIIT workouts in the evening. 15-20…

wow! Great job, you're looking good!

zico is my favorite brand. The chocolate one has saved me from sweet cravings a couple of times.

I eat some back but I'm not likely to eat them all. Calorie burn is a little too complicated for pat calculations that we have here on MFP. It all matters what you weigh and your gender as well as the exercise you did. If you had a heart rate monitor, it would be more accurate and then you would know for sure.

During heavy workouts that I know will make me hungry I make a protein water out of my unflavored protein powder, stevia, and lemon/lime juice. It keeps me hydrated and the protein water keeps me from gnawing an arm off in hunger.

I just have to comment on all the commentors and the daily loggers. MFP seems to be an amazing support system. Rock on!

Doesn't sound like you need "luck", sounds like you're doing it! Yay you!

Time will tell if it works though calorie counting hasn't worked for me in the past. Just food diary and calorie counting. I eat clean, I just tend to over portion so I need to be more mindful. But the MFP calculation and the calculations I've done else wise using other calculators (including BMR calculation) all fall…

wow! Great success! Congrats!
