My mom is about to turn 55. She has been uncomfortable with her age for as long as I can remember. She is always comparing herself to other women. She is always asking my sister and I...How old do I look? Do I look older than that woman? Would I look younger if I lost more weight? Etc. It makes me sad because she isn't…

I prefer the PS3. Yes he can get GTA on Xbox. We have a gladiator game and tennis that are fun to workout with. I would imagine the xbox has them as well.

I will have to ask about that one as well thank you.

5'1" 110lbs....and I will still have meat on my bones.

Thanks for the input. I am working with my doctor on this and will keep all of the information in mind. I am the last person that would look for a "miracle pill" when it comes to health, but I am at the point where I just don't see myself doing this on my own. Consistency is key for me.

I have always eaten pretty healthy and I have developed an excellent love for exercise. My mental health has improved, but I spent at least 10 years with untreated chemical imbalances in my brain. The medication is meant to help me get that all sorted out so I can be consistant with my lifestyle.

I was diagnosed with bipolar. They had given me depakote and I gained weight instantly. I have been off of it for a few months and working really hard on getting in shape. Lots of exercise and tracking what I eat. Very little progress. My doctor told me that Topamax can be used as a mood stabilizer with the side effect of…

I wish someone would try to give me food. That stuff is expensive.

My scale officially shows more muscle than fat %!

"They" always told me. Gee just eat right, exercise and get sunshine. When you suffer from depression for many many years it becomes very difficult to just "cheer up" like other people think you should do. The only advice I have for you is to make working out a BIG part of your daily routine. Make eating right a BIG part…

Hmm. I would try eating more for about a week. I was working out like crazy and people told me to eat more and it worked. Who would have thought? Also, I would try not eating those type of snacks for a week as well. Let your body focus on the only the good for awhile and see how you feel.

This is an easy one. 1. Stop skipping meals 2. Eat more vegies 3. Eat less processed food
-
haha I know how that goes :) I feel like eating anything would be a slippery slope for me. Like sometimes eating makes me more hungry if that makes sense and it could turn into a bag of chips or something. yikes.

I did day 1 today add me if you want. I have 6 week 6 pack and want to do it at the same time. I don't know if it is because I was sick yesterday or if the workout was really THAT hard, but I am not in the "mood" to do the 6 pack workout right now. Did anyone else combine the two?

I too love the sweat and hate to miss a workout. Before I got a personal trainer I had never worked out consistantly and when I did workout it was half*** becasue I didn't know what it felt like to push myself. I was afraid of what it would feel like to really work hard, but now that I know I am addicted to it!

Really? I always thought rest was my best bet against illness so working out would only prolong it. So you all sound crazy! On the other hand...I would love to get some core work in. I might just give it a try. If I die I blame everyone on here. lol jk

Idk...it is a head cold. Feel stuffed up and dizzy and junk. Probably should wait it out :(

[/quote] "It's funny I don't normally eat either of those even though I've already achieved my goal. I went to a wedding last night and I consumed both of those and I noticed they are the very two items that took up most of my calorie budget yesterday. It's okay, I planned for it and it was an important family wedding.…

Great! To those of you that don't like dessert, "well la te da" lol just kidding. Alcohol, dessert, or both! Add me if you want :)

The point was mostly to get it out of my mind so I wasn't saying "AHHH LOSE LOSE LOSE!!!!" every time I saw loose. I don't really care what anyone does now. lol

The school I went to as a child and my parents were very strict on grammar....so it physically hurts me when I hear or see something so obviously incorrect. Don't mean to insult anyone. Just too much respect for my language. Well, probably not enough considering I make a lot of mistakes as well. Seriously though. Lose! haha
-
Well the message didn't sink in. haha

This gives you a great opportunity to really focus in on nutrients. You can make sure you get everything you need a day by paying close attention to what is in your food and eating small frequent meals. Think of it as giving your body natural vitamins rather than just eating to eat and it might help you push for meals even…

Two pound gain is nothing to be concerned about. Just relax and focus. :)

I am just getting started on this weight loss journey. Never thought about rewards. Thanks for the idea! I think I will agree with the shopping. I am going to buy something small when I reach 10lbs and each 10lbs after that. Then a new wardrobe at 55lbs! haha
