Are you fairly new to eating less and exercising more? If so, yes, that could cause your dizziness- I also had major headaches for the first few weeks when I started this weight loss journey. Hope you're feeling better soon!

I say if you have control of yourself, go for it! I have to not buy them because I end up eating four packs! ;o)

Good luck to you- you can do it!!!! This site has really helped me FINALLY lose weight and stay motivated, and hopefully it will do the same for you!

Once a week, the same time of day, wearing the same thing. The body can fluctuate by like 5 pounds a day, so I don't need the stress of seeing the weight change all the time....

Maybe your shoes are more worn on one foot than the other, causing you to move/walk slightly different and putting more pressure on one side???

Under exercises, you can put strength training, which I'd consider any workout with weights or doing squats, lunges, etc. Push-ups and sit-ups are under "calesthenics" and actually get you a few more calories burned per minute....

Don't worry about the "good" sugars from fruits- I'm over my daily sugar if I have a glass of milk and a banana! I try to just pay attention to the candy/doughnut sugars and not worry about fruit sugar.

Good luck to you! This site is awesome- you'll love it, and you can do it!

Yes, it works! I've been trying to lose weight for about 12 years, and never really stuck with it until I joined this site where I can see the total calories I've eaten and burned and have "friends' who support me and hold me accountable! Good luck to you! Maybe try setting your goal at losing 1.5 pounds a week and…

I've lost 35 (but recently gained back 4 on vacation). Lost the 35 pounds since October. Am hoping to lose another 10-15....

I have my grandma's OLD tv in my workout room and watch the Biggest Loser or other shows I like to make the time fly when I'm on the elliptical or treadmill. You said there isn't room on your elliptical, but is there room somewhere else in the room for a regular tv? Otherwise, music could help....

I don't necessarily think "bad things," but have read that often, if weight loss is solely based on diet and not exercise, the weight will come back on quicker..... You don't need to go to a gym- just buy some workout DVDs or some weights so you can get in short workouts at home. Good luck!

Welcome! If you have access to a place with a pool, swimming is very easy on your joints, but awesome exercise! Stationary bikes are also good. Feel free to add me as a friend! Good luck to you!

Just keep at it and do the best you can! I was really on a roll then crashed and burned on vacation, did good yesterday, and today am about 2500 calories over my goal. I KNOW that I can do it if I get on a roll again, and you can too! Set up support systems (feel free to add me as a friend), and maybe write a note that…

Can he go with you? That'd be pretty motivating! You can do it!

I have had the same issue- I have had to totally cut out the items I crave (because I can't just eat one), or have tried chewing spearmint gum, because NOTHING goes with the taste of spearmint! Get all of your "weakness" foods out of the house and set up a support system for yourself- including us! Good luck to you and…

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that! I'm glad you are sticking to your goals no matter what they say! Feel free to add me as a friend... I try to be very supportive.

Good for you! Cake is my favorite thing in the world, so I know the temptation!

Thanks for sharing!

Once a week on Saturday mornings, wearing the same thing so I can truly see how much I've lost. Sometimes I do get excited and weigh more often, but have found I'm disappointed- even if I weigh in on Friday, I don't usually see the "big change" until Saturday, so now it's just once a week!
-
That's so great! I'm sure you'll see even more wonderful results in weeks to come!
-
Yes you can! Great attitude & great goal! Feel free to add me as a friend if you need more support!

You need to burn 3500 calories to lose a pound. If you're already at a 1200 calorie/day limit, you should eat back at least some of your exercise calories. Also, the body eventually gets used to things, so if you've been at 1200 calories for a while, you should shake things up about once every two weeks and eat MORE than…

I LOVE all of Cathe Friedrich's workouts- she is tough and you really feel it at the end. You can buy them all over the place, or rent from Netflix. Her Travel Fit is a total body strength workout with just a band, and Muscle Max is about 50 minutes and hits all the muscles.

Wow, you look so great! Congrats on all your hard work!

I eat the most at dinner- knowing a big meal is coming up helps me "behave" myself a little more during the day, and I have something to look forward too. I never know what's going to come up, so I get nervous using most of my calories earlier in the day.
-
I have mine set to 1.5 a week, but usually lose 2, but.... I am exercising a TON each week. As I get closer to my goal, it does get harder to lose....
-
No secret- eat fewer calories than you burn. I don't really pay much attention to anything other than calories (although I try to not have too much fat per day, but I don't notice sodium, etc.), and try to drink at least 8 8oz servings of water per day. Exercise allows you to lose more or to eat more. MFP will set your…

Good luck to you, sir! I LOVE this site, and have found it extremely helpful to have everything spelled out for you!

I have to measure stuff, and should eventually get a food scale. I also bought a lot of zip lock/tupperware-like containers that are only one cup, to "make" me stay at portion size. Then I also enjoy large portions of stuff like popcorn, that doesn't have a lot of calories!
