I'm 33 an only got married a year and a half ago.... We've been talking baby, but my doctor told me I needed to lose about 50 pounds before trying..... I'm 32 pounds down so far! I also have a few friends my age who have 16 year old kids, which seems crazy to me, and many of my other friends have either recently had kids…

That's awesome- it makes it so much easier when you have support! For some of my past rewards, my hubby gave me a backrub, so that makes me work even harder! Good luck on reaching your goals!

Whenever I'm having a "naughty" eating out day and get a plain cheeseburger, I always eat only ONE of the buns to save calories- I actually had one of the staff comment that I was the second person he'd seen that day only eating half the bun! Guess it's catching on!
-
It's showing me that you've lost 76, maybe it just needed time to adjust....

I have the opposite problem- no trouble during the weekend, then divebomb over the weekend. Healthy filling snacks I enjoy are almonds and popcorn. Good luck!

Love it! Thanks for sharing!

I am AWFUL at cooking small quantities, so I usually just cook the regular amount, then freeze whatever I won't use. Makes cooking later on a snap!

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure the amount you sweat doesn't have much/anything to do with weight loss. Are you keeping track of your heartrate somehow? That would be the true measure of how hard you're working out/burning calories. It sounds like you're doing a good job at working out- if you are staying at/under the amount of…

Yes, yes, yes! You should have AT LEAST one day off of exercise per week so your body can rest and re-build.

To quote somebody, just hit the "quote" button towards the bottom of what they wrote. A code will pop up, and you just write under what they've written. I don't remember quite how to do the ticker, but just do a search for it under the message boards.....

I've gone up, then down, then up many many times. I re-started in October, and think I'm finally on a roll. Exercising a lot and slowly winning the fight with food (even though I love it so much!) Great job on what you've done so far, and keep up the good work!
-
You've done a great job! Congratulations!

I either try to hit Goodwill or another store like that, or go to end of the season sales.

We're not having a competition to see who can be under by the most- it was started to encourage people to be at or under their daily calories. It looks like the person who started the thread has dropped out because she was feeling judged- maybe read the initial posting before thinking that we're trying to encourage an…

Saturday- 964 left- the most I've ever had. Exercised a TON today- almost 600 calories! And have a family birthday party tomorrow.... since my favorite thing is cake, wanted to save up some calories for that! Hope everyone had a good day!
-
What? Who is judging you? We'll miss you!
-
Friday- 260 under, and passed up going out to eat so I could control what foods I was eating. Made up a little bit for yesterday....
-
One day, I was 3000+ over. I just lose it sometimes and completely pig out, but then try to make the rest of the week better. I'm aiming to lose a pound and a half a week, so MFP subtracts 700 each day from what I could eat, so I figure if I'm less than 700 over in a day, I'll at least stay the same. Don't feel so bad-…

Thursday- 285 over calories- will do better tomorrow!
-
Tuesday- 215 under goal. Yay!
-
Monday- 682 under- had bootcamp class today and wasn't hungry, so that helped.... Just made up for my over-eating yesterday! Yes, for me it's much easier to eat better on weekdays- so buys at work that I don't have much time to eat!
-
I usually try to save most of my calories for the evening so I can have what feels like a "full meal" and maybe a small dessert and still be at or under my calories.
-
650 over today, but since I've got MFP set to lose 1.5 pounds a week, and they "subtract" 700 a day for me to do that, I shouldn't go up just cause of today. Plus, the last three Sundays, I've been 1500 to 3500 calories over, so I'm taking today as a good day! Will bust a move tomorrow to keep on losing! Have a great week,…

Thanks everyone for the compliments! Hopefully when I reach my final goal, I'll figure out how to show my "whole self!" in the pics!
-
I think you're right- it would take a few days to see "the result" of gaining/losing..... That's probably why it's recommended that we only weigh in once a week!
-
Yep- building muscle makes you look more lean, plus muscle burns more than fat while 'resting." Maybe do a search online to see if there are strength activities you can do that won't hurt....
-
I have a splurge day at least once a week, and still lose 1-2 pounds a week. I think it keeps your body's metabolism guessing, and keeps it from slowing down. One day, I was over by 3000 calories (not recommended), but I think it shocked my body for that week. Good luck to you!

During the work week, I eat a banana for lunch almost every day to keep myself in check.

Are you listening to music? I watch TV while I'm on my treadmill, and can go forever as long as I'm watching something I like.

Especially since you said she is also overweight, I'd think she's insecure that you are making healthy changes in your life when she's too lazy or scared to do the same. Try to take the high road and ignore her, and when you're think and healthy, you can just secretly smile when you see her fat self still sitting on the…
