I'm doing BBL after finishing the 30Day shred. It is a fun workout but as others said, it's not whole body. Targets abs, butt, thighs mainly and that is the area I need major help with. I vote for P90X as I've always heard combo of cardio & weights is most effective way to work out. I'm not much of a cardio lover as it is.…

I love grilled asparagus with a little squeeze of lemon and kosher salt.

I make them the same way I make cabbage. They're kindof like little cabbages and taste very similar. Cut them in half or quarters and cook them with a little olive oil, cumin, turmeric and salt. Cover and cook until done. Yumm. When cooking cabbage I chop it up and add peas in addition to the above. They should turn…

I'm on week 1 of BBL. So far I've done Basics, Bum Bum , Cardio and Tummy. Today is supposed to be off day but I'm thinking of doing cardio so I can do just High & Tight tomorrow instead of doing both tomorrow. Anyone do this with BBL? Split the workouts so you only have to do 1 in a day? I just don't have the time or…

Wear the shoes. It helps me hold the plank better. Socks slip and slide on the carpet and that's no fun during workouts.

I have a lot of respect for you single, working mommies specially. I don't know how you do it all! I am mom to two - a 7yr old and a 20 month old and have a very supportive hubby. I work full time as a software developer. While it is challenging work, it is sedentary and that's partly the problem. I have slowly accumulated…

So there is hope for me!! I had 2 c-sections. Younger one is 1.5 yrs old. I have the classic pooch as well as an upper tummy or gutt. Ugh. The poster that said she won't do planks in a gym..ME TOO!! I so understand what you're saying.

All right. Here is my perspective from a fellow vegetarian Indian. If I were ever in your shoes, here's what my grocery list will look like Wheat Flour $5 (4lb) Rice $10 (10lb) Red Kidney Beans $6 (4lb) Chickpeas $6 (4lb) Lentils $5 (4lb) Onion $3 (5lb) Potato $3 (10lb) That's $38. With the remaining $12 I'd get Milk, oil,…

I'm 5'0 and my body loves to hang out around 140 these days. A few years ago that # was 130. Since then I've had a baby and am 10 lb heavier. Sigh. With proper food & exercising I get down to around 127 but then it hangs out there forever and I usually give up and it goes right back up. Not this time though. Currently I'm…

Just a few hours ago I ordered the Accumeasure 3000 off Amazon today. I had seen it linked in someone's success story link (saint someone) Here it is. Only $10. I started working out 3-4 times a week in beginning of december and my weight went up 4 lb. I've now, middle of Jan, lost the 4 lb. However, I took measurements and I've lost 5.25" so far!!! If it wasn't for the measurements I may have given up already but I do know it's working. My clothes fit better, I have more energy,…

I love PB with apples. My fave snack these days. My 7yo and I fight (jokingly & lovingly) over those LOL I find it so hard to balance the carbs with proteins. If I try to eat more protein (like greek yogurt), I add something to it and the carbs go up. Ok - I was adding tamarind chutney which makes it heavenly but carb…

Have you tried the whole wheat type? It's got a good amount of protein and fiber. Maybe you have a gluten sensitivity..

I don't have any opinion of her show. Yes, she cooks very unhealthy food but I can tell that much from watching her cook. I don't need to know whether or not she has diabetes or heart disease or is obese. I know that by her recipes. I know what effect that kind of eating would have on ME and my family. Type 2 runs in my…

I snack on broccoli when I'm needing some crunch. I'm weird LOL

Good tips everyone. I find I can fit it in my calories just fine but it tips off the fat. I'll try some of your suggestions. I like hummus and greek yogurt too but not as much as PB. Love my PB :)

I'm vegetarian but I eat egg. Breakfast almost every morning is an egg omelet with chai. I eat nuts, whole grains, peanut butter and peanuts, beans and lentils, avocado, fruits and veggies. I've given up white bread (finally!!) I struggle with fat and protein...too little protein, too much fat. I am able to keep the carbs…

I start out by drinking 1 cup chai in the morning...made the right way with milk and sugar ;) Then drink plain water all day. Another chai in the evening with hubby. More water. I love fresh juice but am lazy to make it. Carrot and apples is my favorite.
