If you are having difficulty running at 5 mph then slow down. Start at a lower number and as you build up the stamina and endurance you can increase the speed. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter

W2D2 complete!! I was at the gym today so I decided to try it on the treadmill. I did my warm up and cool down walks at a speed of 3.0 mph. For the alternate runs/walk I did those at a speed of 5mph/3.5mph respectively. Think I'll take tomorrow as my rest day then tackle D3 on Thursday.

I listen to music on my Ipod while I run....that's the only way I can make it through ;o')))

W2D1 complete. It was a gorgeous day so I went to a nearby high school track and had a great run. Afterwards I ran up and down the stairs of the bleachers 7 times in all.....man was I busted after that.

W1D2 done. The trail that I went to had some hilly terrain. When I had to jog uphill it was challenging.....left me really winded. However, I did not stop running....lowered my pace but kept running nonetheless.

I've made mine with soy, rice, almond, coconut and hemp milk. Soy and Almond milk were by far the tastiest ;o)))

I make my smoothie with: 1 scoop chocolate whey protein mix 1 cup soy milk 1 banana 1 cup chopped spinach or kale 1 cup frozen strawberries Sometimes, I nix the greens and the berries and add some peanut butter for a protein filled smoothie.

I'm interested! I actually completed this program before and loved it. I am 3 lbs away from my goal weight so my goal for this challenge is to tone up and work on speed. Will post weight details tomorrow

Hi, I just restarted C25K as well! Did the whole program, participated in a couple races earlier this year and decided I wanted to do the program again to really focus on my running form and time. I did W2D1 this morning.

Peanut butter/ almond butter is a great source of protein and healthy fats. Morning Star, Veggie Patch, Grace Earth Chef and Light life Smart Deli are great brands to check out. They have great vegan alternatives that are chock full of protein Soy yogurt

Tuna is a great option....It is high in protein. You could add a boiled egg (extra protein), a little mayo, and anything else you like( corn, raisins, celery etc) and you have a yummy tuna salad for dinner ;o)

You can watch it on Hulu

It is important to eat from all food categories instead of focussing on a "diet". A helpful site is www.eatright.org

A great site to visit is www.eatright.org They have great videos and podcasts you can watch/listen to. Bottom line: change is not going to happen overnight. You need to be more focussed on eating healthy and exercising regularly....the results will come Bonne Chance!!!!

I tried kefir for the first time this weekend....I didn't hate it but I certainly didn't love it either....it was very thick and left a weird aftertaste in my mouth. I had to drink a glass of water to get rid of the aftertaste.

I've never tried cottage cheese but the look alone is enough to turn me off. Tofu can be delicious depending on how it is prepared. I've recently started eating egg whites...I make an omelette and add toppings like cheese, spinach or stir fry peppers.....yum! Greek yogurt definitely is an acquired taste....I didn't like it…

The calories are low but the sodium is way too high for one meal.
