  • I've started making my own. I use the Designer Whey Protein Mix...add a banana, soy milk and some spinach...yummy! You can add any fruits you like...I've also added apples, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries to mine

  • Congrats....that is such encouraging news.
  • She has some Walk at Home DVDs which I really like. If you have Comcast cable service....her walk at home program is available on Exercise TV for free or you can just access it online at exercisetv.com
  • I used the C25K app to train and now I am using the B210K app. C25K - couch to 5K B210K - bridge to 10K I find the apps helpful as they take you from intervals of walking and running to just running alone.
  • Thanks for sharing. I bought some recently so I'm going to check the code on mine.
  • You look wonderful!
  • I think the shocking video was of Rulon caught eating in his room. Not sure why it's a big deal.....maybe it was late at night or it was what he was eating but I guess we'll find out. This is the first season I'm watching so I can't compare it to whatever has happened before but I agree with you...there seem to be a lot of…
  • Go outside! You won't know what you are capable of until you challenge yourself.....you CAN do it!
  • I am an emotional eater too and honestly some days it just gets the better of me. I can pig out on ice cream, cookies, potato chips and pizza if I'm not mindful. Since I've started losing weight on mfp and I'm liking what I see in the mirror that has helped me somewhat. I've started asking myself "is it worth it?" before I…
  • I used to think the same thing that strength training was for men. Also, I was afraid of getting too bulky so I stayed away from the bottom floor. However, the gym I attended offered me some strength training sessions and I liked it. Just ensure they show you the correct way to use the machines and you'll be good to go.…
  • I love to walk....it helps to clear my head and as long as the weather is good and I've got music on my Ipod I'll walk just about anywhere.I also like the stationary bike. I'm now into doing Couch to 5K....it's a running program if you are interested in running.

  • Kudos to you for joining the gym....I love the variety of machines they have there. Try to stay committed to going atleast 3-4 times a week and do a mix of cardio machines and strength training. Ask your PT to give you a walk through of different strength training exercises you can do. Enjoy! Strength training helps you…
  • If you know which restaurant you are going to ahead of time you can check their menu online to get an idea of what they serve. That way, you go in already having an idea of what you want. I find that when I go to restaurants everything looks so good that I don't necessarily make the best choices. Also, the website may give…
  • I don't drink juices or soda at all so I have 2 cups of water with each meal so that's 6 cups right there. Then I usually drink another 2 - 4 cups after a good workout. If I don't workout then I just keep my bottle filled and sip throughout the day. I think the more you weigh then the more challenging it feels to drink…
  • I like Courtney too, she always as a smile on her face. I love that her attitude is that she's happy as long as she's losing.
  • The banana bread flavor sounds great....I'll have to check it out the next time I visit whole foods. Thanks for the info.
  • A gym instructor told me the same thing and when I divided my weight it works out that I should be drinking 10 cups of water or 80 ounces. I have 2 water bottles that I use.....one shows where the one and two cups mark is so is I use that bottle I aim to drink a full bottle atleast 5 times. The other bottle is an 11 ounce…
  • I love nutella!!!
  • Well firstly, I have to lift my hat off to you for eating one square of a chocolate bar then putting it away. I am a self proclaimed chocoholic and there is NO way I could do that....so I don't bother buying chocolate bars anymore. I try to satisfy my cravings with low calorie chocolate flavored stuff eg. chocolate soy…
  • I think the food log really opened up a lot of our eyes. I had no idea what constituted a serving and sometimes I thought I was having 1 but I was really having 3  I bought myself a set of measuring cups so now I measure everything I eat and I spend more time reading labels when I go the supermarket. I am also…
  • I know what u mean...I watch the show on Tuesday nights while riding my stationary bike
  • Thanks....found it and about to download it ;0)))
  • love the graphics !
  • U look fantastic...congrats!!
  • My mother actually introduced me to this site and now we are both highly motivated to keep using it as we've both been losing weight. We don' t have a collective goal but occasionally we go to the gym together and we've started buying healthier foods to prepare at home. All the best to you and your mom.
  • My weight this week : 169.1
  • I completed week 4 day 2 today......which means I'm running for 5 mins!!! When I just started I could barely manage the 90 mins of jogging so I'm amazed at my progress. You can do it!!
  • It helps if u r not doing the same thing everyday. Find forms of cardio that u really enjoy and go with them. I love walking, it helps me clear my head and I can listen to my music as I go so that works for me. I'm not much of a runner as I get out of breath easily but occasionally I might jog for the duration of one song…
