Hi there! I would go to http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ - you will find TONS of information. I am getting my results today so I'm pretty anxious. I could have Hashimoto's :/ Anyway, from what I've read Naturally Dessicated Thyroid is the one you want that will make you the most like a "normal' person. A lot of people…

OP: Sweetie, I know it seems unnatural, but you need to eat more. Maybe eat smaller meals throughout the day? You obviously know something isn't right or you wouldn't have posted asking for help. Coming from someone that did this in highschool... extreme calorie restriction can cause multiple problems for you later in…

Thank you SO much for all of the helpful advice. Going to keep doing my normal cardio (which is tennis, hiking, skiing, running with kids, etc. - things I find fun), but up my weights. FUN! I have an unopened P90x lol - maybe time to break it out. Also going to check out new rules at the library. Have been using bodyweight…

@ Sidesteel - pm'd. My TDEE is higher than the BMF gave me according to the test. However, because of suspected hypothyroidism - my metabolism is stupid slow. I went from a size 2-4 16% bodyfat 128 lb martial artist in 2007 to this... all the while eating right and working out. My burn even with 40 minutes of pushups/sit…

That's awesome advice. My bodymedia fit has my minimum burn at 2200 - not sure if that helps anything, but that is with a minimum of 8k steps. I will make it work for my schedule, as I don't have time to be out of shape anymore :) Thanks so much for the advice. Started using bodyweight exercises from martial arts training…

Hi! LOVE mud runs... some people just don't get it! Have done a 5k Survivor Mud Run, and just completed the Norcal Tough Mudder last month. AMAZING. I would recommend doing TM with a group of at least 5 to help with some of the obstacles. Also, practice on some monkey bars in the park (maybe even with mud on your hands?).…

1. How long after meeting your SO did you knew he/she was the one? Right after I beat him at Street Fighter 2. How long did it take to declare it to him/her? 4 days 3. How did you know (describe the feeling inside of you that made you realize--man, this is it)? I thought of life without him and it didn't make sense. 4. If…

Agree with rudegyal. I had to quit Cymbalta after a month because I felt like the walking dead. I quit cold turkey and for several weeks after had brain zaps - had to stay in bed for three days because the were making me crazy dizzy. Not worth it. Pull up!!

You look fantastic! Must feel really super :) Keep it up! You look 10 years younger WOW!

Okay look at me. I am 40, 40 pounds overweight, and didn't do the training aside from brisk walking an hour a day five days a week. I did the Northstar Tahoe one, and it was uphill for the first 5 miles. You WILL NOT regret doing it. If you do the actual training - you'll fare better for sure. But, if you can finish being…

I know I shouldn't but I can't wait for people to notice. They sure notice when you gain, lol. I remember losing 40 pounds on weight watchers and having people constantly talking to me about it. Then as I gained, people were just kind of looking at me with a pity look. So, I see an overwhelming response that the people you…

Hi - I started this month as well. I am 40 and a mom of 3. Really hoping it would go faster, but progress is progress. Super busy so not a frequent poster :) I don't expect much, either. My workouts are totally varied - Jillian M. 30 day shred, Slim in 6, jogging, walking, tennis, ski, horseback... my goal is just to be…
