  • Thanks everyone. I think I'll use the smith machine until I can afford both a babysitter and a new gym. I would ideally do both SL and c25k the same day only because weekends are family time for me, and I'd have to use Saturday for one of the two workouts :/ Doable, but not ideal. Like a smith machine lol.
  • I did 30DS (admittedly with light weights because my heavier ones keep the snake in his cage and I don't want to wake up with a ball python in the dish drainer again :noway: true story.) I saw minimal change in measurements (including an inch gained in my leg lol). I lost a bit from some places (arms, hips) but my waist…
  • I fit this description though I've grown tired of labels as I've grown older. I used to attend Rainbow Gatherings a lot, and made the festival circuit. I've settled down (a bit!) and now live in a small homestead with my daughter Althea (Both a Grateful Dead and Botanical reference with her name). We keep honeybees and…
  • I like the Marie Callender ones when I have them. I haven't really tried anything else though :P
  • Not exactly supportive. He wants me to work out, but I think has zero faith I will stick with it. He also thinks its all exercise and no change in how we eat. We actually split up for a while and are living in different houses (but seeing each other again) and I lost 8 lbs just from being in full charge of grocery…
  • This is just a start: Run a 5k Hike Virginia portion of Appalachian Trail Kayak Rock Climb Seneca Rocks in WV
  • My neighbor from Idaho had to move suddenly and left everything in his freezer (my dad owned the house) so my dad bought over all the food he left, which included some Elk. Now I'm in Virginia and I can eat the hell out of some venison but I'd never made elk before (only had it once in Colorado in some stew). Sliced it up…
  • Found this plan: http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/the-beginner-weight-training-workout-routine/ Hope I can figure all this out on my own. I have NO idea where to even start as far as weight goes.. I know I've seen it suggested to start with just the bar. I'm a total noob, hah. Excited though.. Yeah, I've heard of Dr. Google.…
  • Thanks guys. This is such an amazing opportunity for me, I am a broke single mama without childcare, and I'm so thankful something like this exists in my teeny tiny town. I am both happy its very desolate there (because I'm super shy), but also sort of wish there were more people there to help at the same time. When the…
  • Eh, I dunno what benefit there would be to posting negative reviews while not trying to sell something else. I do know I've searched side effects before and found random websites, that might be what these people are doing? Just searching their experiences and finding this post. Who knows, but I don't see the point. Maybe…
  • I got nexplanon at around 8 weeks post partum, so I've had it since about March of this year. I lost 20 lbs since the baby was born (without tracking) and I've lost 8 pounds in a month and a half (while tracking). I breastfeed so that might be part of it, but I've only had a few periods with it and they're super light. I…
  • I'm glad you asked this, I was wondering it myself. I do plan on starting weight training before I lose much more (as soon as I can afford the gym membership). I do plan to keep weighing myself, BUT I will use other metrics too (pictures, measurements, clothes!) Oh and until I get to that point where I can afford the…
  • I picked the highest normal bmi (and smallest I've ever been) for my goal. I have a large frame (I can't wrap my fingers around my wrist) and know at the smallest normal BMI I'd look very thin. I will see how I feel at 140 (I'm 5'3) and then adjust from there. I'm hoping to not lose a lot of muscle, and eventually even…
  • I set my calories to 1300 for the day as my goal and in my food diary I add a breastfeeding -500 calorie entry thats in the database. It brings my calories to 1800 for the day.
  • For me, personally, I grew up in a very impoverished, food desert type environment. I eat healthier than most people I know, but I'm far from a snob about it. I understand where they're coming from, and I think sometimes its a matter of privilege.
  • I suffered from this for years and years. I had a ton of tests when I was little and I still remember the moment it was diagnosed after the radioactive oatmeal :P :P The first time I noticed how much pain I was in was when I was about 6 and started riding horses (well .. a pony). The pain was severe and at first everyone…
  • I do cheat meal and still try to log as best I can.
  • Been in therapy a few times in my life.. was diagnosed as dysthymic at 15... I struggle with depression off and on for sure. I also have PMDD which is severe PMS. It's not just a little bad.. its breaking up with my boyfriend repeatedly... depression so bad I can't stand it, anger and hostility, irritability and then…
  • Probably not the healthiest but I've always breaded and fried squash. My friend breaded and fried them but coated them in sugar too. They were excellent. I love squash.
  • Chili - lime seasoned ground pork. I got it on manager's special and its been in the freezer for a long time, thawed it last night. Gonna make it for dinner but not sure what to do with it exactly. I've never cooked with ground pork, much less chili-lime ground pork!
  • Yes, but Canada gave us Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, almost all of The Band. Canadian music is great... just not that **** you listed.
  • Right now, as I type this, I'm wearing a pair of jeans I haven't worn since about the third month of my pregnancy, and I'm 6 months post partum. They're only slightly tight, as if they just came out of the dryer. Comfortable enough to wear all day.
  • I'm 6 months PP, in level three of the 30ds and I eat 1800 calories a day and have noticed no drop in supply. That said, I'm a few months ahead of you and have established a supply perhaps a bit more than you have had a chance. I'd monitor and adjust accordingly.
  • Probably not, realistically. I am not a fan of progressive rock but I love Peter Gabriel. The closest would be modern, pop country like Faith Hill and Taylor Swift and men with artificial, over exaggerated twang.
  • I'm 28....5'3... and currently 184 lbs. I started at around 189/190 (was higher than that post pregnancy but not sure how high so I go from first true weigh in). I am looking to weigh 135-140. Would love to have friends with similar goals.
  • I absolutely agree! Wonderful post :)
  • I'm interested in the group although I plan on starting Body Revolution next but that could change if there was a PiYo challenge group.
  • I see what people are saying about rewards, and OBVIOUSLY the biggest reward will be better health, more confidence, etc.. BUT, for me, I'm a single, stay at home mom of a 5 month old and have literally NO income. I save 5.00 a week and put it in savings. I know it won't buy most of my rewards (definitely not a vacation or…
  • I just check the new groups on here everyday. I already joined four challenges (two long term challenges going through the first of the year, and two 30 Day Shred groups running this month and next). So just watch, they'll pop up! Challenges are great, I had a lot of success in the past doing them.
