  • I am no where near a fitness fanatic and I loathe cardio...so I don't do it much. I figure if I make it in to the gym even for 30 min a few days a week then I'm on the right track. I had 3 weeks recently that I didn't go and I spiraled out of control. Gah, I was depressed and bingeing like a mad, fat woman! At first I…
  • You could always save the scraps to make a quilt. Might be a fun thing to have, especially since you won't have that extra fat to keep you warm in the winter. :)
  • This is one of my favorite things that happened recently! I haven't had a proper fitting since after my son was born (he turns 11 in Aug.) and went last week. I was wearing a 40C and now....a 36DDD!!! My hubby is psyched about the triple D business but I am beside myself happy about the 36!! Geesh, I think I was in high…
  • Cool thread! I'm 1/2 Passamaquoddy! Anyone ever heard of us? Lol, probably not...it's a Maine tribe, people of the dawn! Anywho, I've officially lost 40lbs since mid Aug. I've fallen off the wagon a few times but always get back on and try not to beat myself up too much about it. Recently, I've increased my calories and…
  • Love is the best sort of motivator, whether it's love for others or yourself, it gets the job done! This is my favorite nsv of the day...brought tears to my eye! Rock on mamma and congrats to your daughter!!
  • I can fit into my initial goal pants!! Ok, well...they zip, give me a bit of camel toe and are 20+ yrs old, so are a bit mom-jeanish (to say the least)...but those mofo's zip and that counts!! YAY!!
  • Today, you are a weight loss hero...you just need the cape! I loved reading your story (you have a great writing voice) and seeing your transformation. Thanks for the motivation! My husband who is not trying (but it wouldn't kill him) to lose weight or anything took notice while reading over my shoulder and I'll be damned…
  • I have no idea what will be at the party other than what I'm bringing. I'm making a stuffed /braided philly cheese steak bread and an italian meats bread as well. My plan is to keep my calories low today, drink tons of water and eat in moderation tonight...but I do plan on eatting whatever I want (just less than years…
  • Perfection! Thank you!
  • If you have the discipline to do a fast for the time it'll take to lose 10lbs. (regardless of how quickly you'll lose it) then doesn't it stand to reason you have the discipline to do it healthier? I totally understand the desire to "kickstart" things but if you're already struggling to maintain your calorie defecit, I…
  • You look awesome! Great job!
  • One of my greatest loves is blue cheese dressing and I'm unwilling to give it up. So, after much searching I found Naturally Fresh Lite Blue Cheese dressing...it's still 100 cal per 2 tbsp but so worth it.
  • I'm 5'4" and started out around 230 and am down to about 204 now. I started in Sept and have been really lax this last month. I'm trying to get back on task and know how helpful this site is...I'm the one who needs to re-commit fully. I just keep finding excuses...feel free to add me...I could use a kick in the a** !
  • Still chugging, huffing and puffing along. Today should be my day 8 level 2 but I'm going to call it a rest day and extend through Sat. I just don't have it in me...I spent all of my down time finishing up Christmas stuff and still have to wrap and pack it all up tonight. I'm not beating myself up about it though cause…
  • Hmmm...exactly how much? Cause I can bust out some Pink Floyd and brew a pot!
  • I meant to post the other day...Great job on your before and after pics! You look fantastic! Does level 3 have more planking stuff? It kills me, it's so hard.
  • I'm doing it mon-fri this week. That'll finish me off for level 2 and then I'm taking the weekend off for birthday festivities. Woohoo!
  • Dang girl! You look great...totally jealous you kept your boobs!
  • I do it under calisthenics (sp?) for 20 min.
  • Well, I did it.... I was not a fan. Let me whine and tell you why... My son decided to poke me repeatedly while I was trying to do that army press/squat business, my rug moved all over the darn place while trying to do the jumpy planks and I twisted my leg all funny on that twisty oblique thing. So I say "pffft to you…
  • I just had a discussion with my son today about this. He's also 10, overweight and addicted to video games...I take full ownership of all of this. But I am making changes! Today, much to his dismay, I told him he was going on a hike with me. "Mom, I'm just not an outside kind of kid", were his exact words. *sigh* I told…
  • I'm starting level 2 tomorrow. I'm a little nervous since I haven't even watched it yet.
  • Get a nonfat misto with sugar free mocha. It's half coffee, half steamed milk...when I do one, I do 3/4 coffee and the rest nonfat. I find the sugar free mocha is more tolerable if I add a stevia packet.
  • I had to skip yesterday due to a headache and nausea but I jumped back on it today! If I do an arm curl you can actually feel a ball of muscle!! And it doesn't require lots of poking around to find it!!! Who knew!?
  • Thanks for the encouragement everyone! That poor redbox machine! I made it 3 days and had one today. My son got hurt at school and they neglected to call me. I was a sore sight digging through the ashtray looking for that butt I lit on the wrong end...it was an emotional moment and I was livid. Luckily, I found it before…
  • Perfect! I'm going to do it through sheer will power. I've quit for short stretches and one long one (when my son was born) but my husband won't even try now. Inevitability he's my undoing ....and drinking. It's hard to have a cocktail or two and not light up. I'm thinking that since I don't often waste my calories on…
  • I recently got the same as Tidesong. I'm still coming to terms with the 5lb differance between that and my old one. But I knew the old one was crap. The eatsmart is great though!
  • I finished day 2 today and didn't hate it as much as yesterday. I'm sore, all over sore, even the sides of my boobs are sore! I'm guessing there's some sort of muscle in there that I never knew existed...Lord knows what will hurt tomorrow. I just keep telling myself "it's only 20 min...I can do this!"
  • Hello, hello! I'm Traci and am in NC, with the exception of 2 or 3 years(nutri-system) I've never been happy with my weight. I always told myself I would be "fit by 40"....well, I turn 41 next month. But, none of that matters because I'm here now and making changes as best I can. I've never been too keen on excercise. I'd…
