28lbs is AWESOME :). I'm 46 and a yo-yo er as well...it seems I do well for a while, and then slip back into old patterns when life gets tough...
-
I love to run too, but it is SO hard the heavier I get. I have a hard time saying no to donuts too...moderation is the key, right?!
-
SUCH a cute puppy!!! WTG on the 20lbs!

Hi Team Gutbusters! My name is Helen, and I've been on MFP for a while. I recently gained back quite a bit of the weight i'd lost (big time stress eater), and I'd like to get back on track. I am going to weigh in on Tuesdays. Good luck, and please feel free to add me as a friend as well!!!
-
Hello! I'm originally from NJ but now in Iowa! I'm trying to get back into the swing of MFP, too...I so need it.
-
That is awesome!! I would love more friends...feel free to add me.
-
LOL...I'm right there with you. I have been on MFP for a while now, and would love to add some new friends.

Such cute pictures. I don't have one of my sweetheart--but she's a Siamese and adorable :)! She'd probably be really mad that I posted a picture of my pup...but he's new :).
-
You look amazingly fit and happy!!! I love that your doggies were in your wedding picture too :)! CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done!!!!
-
Congratulations!!! Very inspirational, and you look very happy, healthy and ready to take on the world together!!!

I use a motoactv, and I believe it tracks elevation, although I don't use it for that. It has a music player, tracks mileage, it a HRM, and tracks pace....I love it!
-
You look just amazing!!! Well done!!!
-
You are amazing!!! SO glad you are ok...and YAY HEAVY LIFTING!!!
-
Exactly...strength training is what she's doing...crikey. She is not weight lifting, nor should she if she is not comfortable with that. Strength training can involve absolutely no weights and just your body weight...

It took me a good six months to notice a drop in weight, but I agree with other posters that once I stopped smoking, I got much healthier all around. I started making better food choices, exercising more (it is much easier to do now!), and just feeling generally better about myself. It does take time though, so try to be…

Didn't Eddie Rabbit love rainy days? Oh no, that was a rainy night...my bad
-
Amazing job, and you have a very cute little dog!

Circuit training overcalculated for me. I got an HRM, and I was burning about 100 less than I thought :(. I'm 5'3'', 43, and 164lbs, and I burn between 190-220 for one level of 30DS...

Had my first at 32 and second at 35, and I wouldn't have it any other way :). My mom had her first of three at 32, as did her mom...my sister had her first at 34 :)...seems to run in the family!
-
My husband took a video of me (making a mentos/diet coke rocket :)), and I could not believe I did not cringe at what I saw.
-
I admire how much you wanted to do this challenge for your son and for yourself!! I can't begin to imagine how proud he must be of you, and how proud you must be of yourself!
-
LOL..it sucks, doesn't it?!
-
You are amazing!!! You look great, and it sounds like you will stay there forever now!
-
You're son is lucky to have you!! It's not easy to not take the easy way out--so YAY YOU!

I focused on quitting smoking first, then losing weight. I sure don't think I could have done both at the same time...and smoking to me was by far the first thing that needed to go... Once I felt I had that under control a bit, then I started incorporating more exercise and healthier eating...
