Exercise: Yes, only a 30 min walk with the dog today. Cals: Yes, I give myself an extra 200 on a Friday and Saturday but didn't use all of them! Tracking: Yes

I generally give myself an extra 200 cals on Fridays and Saturdays - allows for a glass or two of wine whilst remaining in a (small) deficit. On my diary I don't change the goal though, is that OK in this challenge? As if you look at my diary it would say 200 cals over. Thanks

Exercise: Yes, 1 hour walk (Pokémon hunting!!) Calories : Yes, had to do some extra steps at the end of the day to hit my net calorie goal though! Tracked: Yes

Hi! This looks like the perfect challenge for me, as I generally lose weight very slowly (approx. 1lb a month) which means a lot of the weight loss ones are out. I'm just coming back to it after a bit of a break which has seen me gain 3lbs so this will hopefully be the kick start I need to get back into it! Stats: Female,…

I tend to stay about the same all month then drop a couple of pounds just after my TOM, then maintain that weight for the next month, then drop again. And so on.

I tried to put a smiley face after that but it didn't work....

I'm not looking for advice, I'm just nosy and wanted to know what people would choose

Hi all. I am planning on starting to improve my eating tomorrow. I weigh 68kg currently (have lost 2kg) so far but would like to generally clean up my eating. My goal weight is 60kg but my main focus is cleaner eating. I think planning is the most important thing for me! Please add me

Adding you! I love swimming, although I don't go very often, I did the Aspire channel swim last year (over 12 weeks in a pool, not the actual channel!) And I try and fit in 2 5k runs a week, am hoping to build up to 10k by Christmas. X

I was pretty bad at mini challenges last week but will try and be better this week!
-
I didn't get a chance to weigh today so will be weighing tomorrow!
-
Well I am certainly alternating good and bad days this week! If I manage 2 good days at the weekend I will at least have done 4 good to 3 bad!

Adding you!

Good day yesterday so feeling a bit more positive about today! Food wasn't great but made up for it with a run and walking the dog twice!

I am having a bad week! Well I have had 2 good days and 2 bad days in terms of food. Problems are: V V busy week, and I am really bad for going for convenience food when I'm busy Just had my birthday so lots of cake / choc / wine around! And not been able to fit my exercise in due to being busy - normally do hockey twice a…

Well I am having a hectic week so far, got a cake to decorate for Saturday as well as working full time so taking up all my evenings! Haven't done Tues and Wed challenges yet but will try to fit those in as well as Thurs today, as well as a run and walking the dog.....Wish me luck!!

I had a very bad day yesterday, although I knew it was coming so will be trying to make up for it for the rest of the week! Nearly 900 cals over! So need to have a 150 deficit each day for the rest of the week if I'm going to even it out. Today has been a good start but out at someone else's house for tea tonight so…

Heart rate is an indicator of how hard you are working, but not a direct indicator of how many cals you are burning! As a general rule a higher heart rate = higher intensity exercise and therefore higher cals. But it's very individual, my resting HR is also low (usually below 50). And for example someone with a high level…

Hi! I am initially trying to lose around 6 kgs so close to 14lbs. I am generally quite positive, and could also use some supportive friends on here! Please add me. Nic x

Hi I am a physio, and without looking at your knee it is not possible to accurately diagnose it. However it sounds like it is caused by a muscle imbalance which lead to patellar maltracking (ie poor alignment of the kneecap during certain movements). The muscle imbalance can either be due to poor activation of the VMO…

Hi I think this is a great idea! Unfortunately I know today is going to be a bad day as I am having a curry tonight with my parents (home made so not quite as bad!) but I will be logging it all anyway and then trying to make up for it tomorrow! Have added my details to the spread sheet. Nic x

Hi I would like to join please! My starting weight is 65.9 kg, not sure in lbs, will have to convert it!
-
Well if you want any further exercises, or how to make them harder, or to work on specific areas let me know! I would recommend starting with 10 of each exercise and running through twice.

Hi Muscle training is important, although fat burning is only a small part of it. Cardio exercise is generally repetitive and leads to injuries, particularly if muscle strength / stability isn't good enough. HOWEVER strength training does not have to involve heavy weights or any equipment at all. Done correctly you can…

Hi! I am a physio and deal with a lot of people with plantar fasciitis! Low impact activities are easiest so cycling would be ideal. I would normally recommend swimming but breast stroke not the best as you stretch your plantar fascia for the kick. I would also recommend buying in-soles with arch supprt as this can make…

Nay for me! I understand the reasoning behind it but if I don't have carbs I get hungrier and then more likely to snack on high cal / high sugar foods! I try to limit my carbs to wholewheat pasta/rice and potatoes. No bread in the evening I would definitely recommend but I need my other carbs!

I would love to join! I have a dog so walk most days anyway (my partner and I take turns!) I'm also hoping to start training for a 10k run so will see if I can get motivated for that! Anyway today (1st Oct) so far - 30 min walk with dog
