I'm in! Just saw one on Facebook that was double all of these numbers...I think I'll start with this challenge first :-)

Thanks for the great information! My HR (in Week 4) tops out right now (on the long intervals) at 167, and I've noticed it gets down to the 130s in the walking sections. So it looks like I'm on the right track.

I did W4D2 on Monday. It was SO much harder than W4D1, and I can't figure out why. Hopefully D3 will be better.

Thank you both for your comments; every little piece of new information is helpful for the overall perspective!

Thanks Tim. So if I read this right, my average HR should decrease as I continue with the program, as long as I maintain my level of effort?

I was reading about HIIT and trying to sort out if the interval portion of C25K qualified as a type of HIIT. That lead me to researching heart rate guidelines and I found the information below on www.thewalkingsite.com. From this, I spend most of my 30 minutes of C25K in the Endurance Zone, and roughly 4-5 minutes in the…

Did W4D2 last night...it always seems that day 2 is harder than day 1, which then stresses me out for day 3. anyone else have this problem? This pattern really worries me for week 5...

All things Teavana. I go in and tell them what I want...fruit, calming, energy, whatever, and they make suggestions and let me smell everything. I use German rock sugar to sweeten, about 1/2 tsp per 16 oz.

Did you find it a hard switch to the outdoor running?

I took a week off, and was still able to make it all the way through W4D1....yay me! My hips are sore, but I'm hopeful that it's just temporary.

I finished Week 3 last night, and it really felt the best so far. I'm pretty worried about Week 4, but I know I can do it, even if I have to repeat a few days.

Wow, impressive! I've been following the guideline that says to run as slow as you can, and to not worry about speed until later. So I "run" at 4mph, and walk at 3mph. My theory is that *when* I make it to the end of the program I can start working on speed. Right now, I'm just trying to convince my legs and lungs that we…

W3D2 completed yesterday after 40 minutes of circuit training and some good stretching. I'm doing the treadmill version, manually (I have it set to speed intervals but have to push the interval button to switch speeds), and as such I have to go by memory on the timing. Turns out there is no third 1.5 minute run in the week…
