I know you asked for a recipe but look at fiber gourmet "thinnables". I have had them and they seem to satisfy my crunch need and you don't feel compelled to eat the whole box or bag because they have a lot of fiber. They have several flavors which is nice and they taste good but not outstanding which in my opinion is a…

45 kg in 1 year, that is amazing!! You must feel like a different person. Are you at your maintenance weight yet?

Quiting smoking is hard but so worth it!! Since nicotine is an appetite suppresent, imagine how much you would be eating if you were not tracking it here. I found it was handy to just blame cigaretes for everything (being hungry, gaining weight, stomach issues from not coating your insides with poisons all day, etc.) It…

Sorry, didn't see your question. I could have just replied and got the same result. :) people "bump" something when they want to be able to find it again easily. It moves the topic to your "recent posts" so you don't have to dig through so many topics to find it again.

baasland, You may get more or better responses with the same question on the "nutrition" board but here is my own take on fast foods. I have a hard time finding things that are not out of the calorie range that I am looking for and like you said most things are crazy high in sodium. I don't see anything wrong with a deli…

http://www.vitacost.com/designer-whey-protein-powder-chocolate-2-lbs-1 These guys have good prices on protein shake powder and plenty of brands available. This one is my favorite, my wife likes the vanilla best. 100 calories gets you 18 grams of protein. I also like egg beaters brand egg whites to make scrambled eggs.…

I use MFP as a great place to track calories consumed, much better database than bodymedia for example. I have found, for myself, that MFP over estimates my calories burned. My best results have been since I used another BMR/RMR calculator and used the RMR (resting metabolic rate) x the factor for my sedentery life style…

http://www.fibergourmet.com/Default.aspx?src=AdWords I enjoy these crackers and they are quite filling/satisfying. They have a lot of fiber so make sure you drink water or something with them. The cheese crakers are pretty close to cheez-its or cheese nips. The nacho cheese crackers have a seasoning that tastes like the…

http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html This was an interesting article, not sure if you have seen it, the point was just that it is always calories consumed vs calories burned. Maintaining a healthy life means that you must come to terms with living in a world with all kinds of food. The…

I used the patches, it took me several tries to quit. You have to want to quit and you have to cut your self some slack as it is an addiction and if you "fall off the wagon" just start over with day 1 again. The thing wtih the nicotine patches that I enjoyed is that you are getting as much nicotine as if you were lighting…
