I started drinking STASH chai tea with splenda and ALPINE spiced apple cider, sugar free. Not a replacement by any stretch of the imagination, but it's making me happy. I am also looking at making flavored coffee with splenda or stevia and putting the low calorie flavored creamer in it. I hope you find something.

16 miles is my longest run. I run a lot of mid week miles so my total for the week is pretty high...55-70 miles. You don't gain any more cardiovascular fitness from a run any longer than 3 hours, so its a waste of time and takes too long to recover from. Make your week day runs longer and keep the long one the same.

I ran 226 miles in July. My goal was 220. yay :) I think 250 for August will be good. Marathon is at the end of September.

Charlie! ! You are doing much better than you think! My running partner just turned 40 and her goal for her second one is a 2:10 half. You should stick to one distance and do a 5k for fun not speed. You have to develop more slow twitch fibers for your distance. Doing the fast twitch and slow twitch fibers at the same time…

I had a pepper spray but it sprayed a stream at the dog who had no idea what it was and couldn't care less. My running partner kicked it while i called the police and the stupid owner looked passively on. Then the spray decided to freeze up when I tested it and it doesn't work. I finished May at 205 miles not the 198 that is on the spreadsheet. For some reason it didn't take. I went over goal by 5 miles. I went right back into marathon training, so I put down 185 for the month. Marathon is in September.

It is totally not as hot here as where you are, but it did start to get a few hot days, and my race was really warm. I eat a lot more during the day. I lowered my mileage to 200 miles this month because I have a marathon on the 25th and forgot to figure in taper and recovery weeks.

I changed mine to 200 instead of 250 for the month. By the time the marathon is done on the 25th, I will have done 207 miles and probably won't want to do much running after that for a while! :)

I bring my own chocolate and a water for my daughter in my large purse. She gets a small popcorn. Prices are outrageous. If they want to stay in business, they should leave us alone, with Netflix and redbox becoming so popular.

Popcorn. I microwave a bag at home, let it.cool and put it in a zip lock baggie. Then I put frozen peas or broccoli in a baggie and heat that up at work. I eat constantly. I got down to 108 pounds just by grazing on veggies popcorn and nuts. No formal meals.
