I use multi-grain bread, skim milk, eggs of course, but I like to add vanilla and nutmeg along with the cinnamon. The vanilla and nutmeg really fill out the flavor and give it a special unique taste. Cottage cheese sounds interesting, I might like to try that!:smile: .

Lisa, What would the calorie count be if you used plain yogurt in place of sour cream, and without skin on the chicken? 4 lbs of chicken and 2 pounds of potatoes sure seems like it should make more than 6 servings to me!

I don't know how many calories, but if you substitute plain yogurt for the sour cream it should turn out just as good, and have a lot fewer calories!:wink: Just an idea:bigsmile: I noticed it seems to have the skin on, and I would rip that right off before browning!

You can definitely cut down on the butter in the recipe if you want and it will only shave of calories and fat. I made it last night with one giant beet ( nearly 2 cups when grated) I used 1 Tbs of butter for all of that and juice of 1 lime!
